Le Mixto est un bâtiment à deux étages fait de bois naturel et de briques situé à l'est du centre-ville de Philadelphie dans l'historique Antique Row. Voilà dix ans que cet établissement est ouvert. Leur philosphie consiste à apporter une nouvelle gamme de saveurs cubaines, latine-américaines et caribéennes au centre-ville. Ouvert pour le déjeuner, le dîner et le souper avec un service au bar, une carte des vins et une sélection de cocktails. Mixto propose des repas en plein air avec une ambiance de South Beach à Miami pendant le printemps, l'été et l'automne, lorsque le temps le permet.

I went on Mother's Day and the service was TERRIBLE. The waitress was completely inattentive and never returned to our table after giving us the drinks. She gave us wrong information about the menu, and she was rude. Additionally, only one meal came out even though I ordered two meals; so, the food was cold by the time the 2nd plate came out. I've been coming here for years but I will never return. The food was dry also. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!! save your money and time.

My mom, sister and I had a great experience celebrating Mother’s Day at Mixto. Brunch was great. All our meals were delicious, and the drinks were good as well. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Had the most amazing meal with the best service here and the best ambience was great for kids and our party included ages two to age 60 everyone loved what they had best sangria I’ve had cannot wait to go back more

Definitely a good place to have great Latin Authentic food and drinks . Happy Hour is a Must Try!!! The Caipirinha drink is my personal favorite and the Mojitos are made to perfection nice and refreshing!! I recommend this place for any occasion whether is to an event or just because.

The food was excellent and the ambience was perfect for a date night. We just had appetizers as we weren’t super super hungry and the portions were decent sized! Dessert was small, but decadent. Will definitely return next time in Philly!

Stopped into Mixto for their Sunday night Happy Hour specials, served only at the bar. It was fairly quiet, with half the stools empty around 5:30 pm (note there are varying times listed for HH - 4:30-5:30 on the sign outside, 4:30 - 6:30 on the sign inside, the menu, and their website). I sat, smiled at the bartender, and watched him make more than a dozen drinks before he asked what I'd like. I'm never sure if I should expect to be ignored, and they'll get to me in the order of who they're helping, or should expect a friendly "I'll be with you in a moment", or something else. After taking my drink and 2 apps order, it was another 10 minutes for my drink, and I had to ask twice for a glass of water. A second bartender came out at 6pm, so perhaps the first was simply overworked caring for the 20 or so people dining in the downstairs dining room and bar. The happy hour margarita was small but tasty for $7, in an 8oz glass with mostly ice. The apps were also only $7 but so tiny. The guac was a large dollop surrounded by 5 fried plantains. The 3 tiny tacos al pastor were delicious, but no more than 3" long for 3 small bites each. I've eaten off their regular menu before, and will go back to it next time, as their happy hour isn't a deal as much as very expensive tiny apps. oh, it also took 40 minutes for the tacos to arrive - I did get an apology from the bartender on the wait, which was appreciated.

My wife & I went on a Sunday at lunchtime. The waiter was very receptive and helpful with our dietary needs. My wife can't eat gluten and I have acid reflux. I had the arepas, 1 with black beans & cheese and 1 with chicken, avocado & mayo. They were outstanding and only $12. My wife had ratatouille, which was $21 and not very filling.

Was there for an early lunch the food was good ambiance was as good . Now the music ? A Latin Restaurant should keep its style of music they were playing in the eating area. The bar area which was not occupied was playing regular pop music which I like but Not the same time

We have been here several times and always enjoy our return trips. This one was extra special because with got to bring our neighbors who have never tried Mixto before. They were very pleased with the ambiance, the food and everything. Can't wait to come back with them.

Great find. The Happy Hour is a great way to savor a variety of the offerings as well as enjoy a cocktail or two at a bargain. The Food on the regular menu was very good and I enjoyed the Vaca Frita. I already mentioned this place to a friend who I'm sure will be trying Mixto out as well.

Had a great time at Mixto and I plan to come back. The menu was quite extensive with lots of good options. Food was very flavorful and the drinks were good too.

Our party went to Mixto during Center City Restaurant Week. We started with mixed drinks; a Mixto Magarita, Mixto Pasion and a Mango Margarita. The drinks were delicious and decorated with fruit and fresh flowers. For the apps, the table had mussels in a creamy, white wine sauce and a sea bass cerviche. Both were delicious. Unfortunately, the entrees had some miscues. The Churrasco Columbiano was a nicely grilled rib eye steak but the green plantain balls were dry and under seasoned. The Arroz con Camarones shrimp were overcooked and the rice was dry. The Pollo Relleno had nice flavor and was accompanied by mashed potatoes. One of our party ordered an entree from the main menu, a grilled octopus with sauteed veggies. The veggies were cooked nicely but the asparagus were cut into quarter inch pieces. The desserts offered were a caramel, coffee flan and a strawberry mousse. The mousse was the tastier of the two. Servers were attentive and polite. We were not at any time rushed.

We eat here regularly and the service was subpar this visit. I had to ask for everything twice. 25 min there and had only been served water. Had to ask for drinks 3 times, no bread until requested, apps took 35min. Not typical at all. The server (Juan) had a large party so I tried to be sympathetic but he seemed to have no interest in doing anything for us beyond basics, even the customary check-in. We were nothing but polite and he was friendly to all the other patrons. Very atypical as the staff is typically great.
