While our dinner experience was good, the brunch experience was not great. It took a very long time to get our food. The crabcakes (which were delicious) came out very quickly, but then it was another 30 minutes before our mains (the Bellwether Benedict, and the Croque Madame) came out, during which time the wait staff apologized twice for the delay because of a "shift change" in the kitchen. I'm sorry, but for these prices there should be no need for any apologies, and if any apologies are necessary some compensation should be given. And when our food did arrive it was lukewarm. The ham in the Croque Madame was actually cold, and I had to really work to taste the gruyere cheese because there was so little of it. Sorry, but this was a very disappointing experience.

Was staying at the Bellwether so it was convenient to have dinner here before an event in town. The wait staff was respectful of our time limitations and timed our meal nicely. We both had the Prime Rib, and it was a nice medium rare, but otherwise unremarkable. The sautéed kale was fine. The highlight of the meal were the Mille Feuille Potatoes with bechamel sauce. It fit our need at the time, and there was nothing wrong, but I would not go out of my way to dine here. Next time we'll likely walk to Lombardi's.

Our dinner date to celebrate our anniversary was absolutely perfect. Our server, Maureen, was delightful. The food was excellently prepared and presented. We were neither rushed nor ignored. The setting is truly Northwest style at its best.

Lovely dining venue,extraordinary bay view. Both my sister & I, traveling up from So Cal, appreciated the wonderful meal and relaxing setting. Waiter could not have been nicer.

It was a wonderful dining experience. The hostess and server Rachel was awesome and so kind. The food was exquisite and then joining live, an amazing dinner experience!

Scenic, quiet dining. Waitstaff are very knowledgeable and service is spot on. The food is a terrific marriage of local sourcing and creative recipes.

pricey for a 5 course valentine dinner but worth it for the experience. Great Wagu Beef. The service was almost perfect. Attention to smaller details like plating and polishing could have been better. Otherwise a wonderful experience.

The place and ambiance were perfect, very nice. But the food was not that great, maybe it was our choices of meal. I got the 7oz filet mignon (med well), but it was missing some flavor a little bit dry. My boyfriend ordered the rack of lamb, he said it was also missing flavor. I had been there before, I had the crab cakes and clam chowder and they were excellent. That was the reason I went back. We were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday. The drinks were perfect, we had a oaxacan old fashion; it was delicious.

Service was excellent. It was almost as if we had the place to ourselves - we did. We were the only customers - it was a Sunday night, so understandable. Seemed that a lot of the food had a preponderance of vinegar added - almost overpowering.

Adam was our server in the dining room and he was wonderful. Attentive and gave great reccomendations. Dinner was lovely and we would go back. Steven in the bar was also wonderful! We really enjoyed talking with him and we will definitely be back

We just went here on New Year’s Eve to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. When I made the res on Open table I included special requests in my comments. I also called about 2 days ahead of time and spoke with the restaurant staff requesting a special table for our special day. When we got there for our 5:45 res, even though I had let them know our preferences ahead I time AND we were guests in the hotel paying top dollar for our room for the holiday weekend, we were shown to a table in a dreary room adjacent to the main dining room or a sauna table right in front of a fireplace as our only 2 options. None of our preferences were honored and we did not feel special at all. The manager made us feel like we had to beg and accept the second rate options they gave us because it was going to be a busy holiday dinner and no other tables were available. So, we took the sauna table and started into the ordering process when the manager showed us to a booth consistent with our stated preferences after all. Service was slow and disorganized, food was ill conceived, just okay, served too cold and easily the most expensive in all of Bellingham. Although the waterfront location, views and ambiance were nice, my husband and I agree, we won’t be returning to the Lighthouse Cafe for any day in the future.

The server was superb! She knew the menu and was always available. The atmosphere was excellent! It's beautifully done and comfortable. Yeah, I'd go back. In a heartbeat.

We were seeking a quiet, elegant Christmas Eve dinner experience and found that at the Lighthouse Bar & Grill. The special menu for Christmas Eve was well curated and had just enough interesting choices to satisfy everyone. We had the beet salad and crab cakes for an appetizer then the Columbia River Sturgeon and filet mignon for dinner - both excellent! The ambiance was quiet, but festive, and just what we were looking for. Thank you!

Place is nice, food disappointing. Everything sounded great but was extremely lacking any flavor, crab cake eggs Benedict, hamburger, salad, and dip sandwich all just so, so. Wouldn't go back.

We chose to sit at the middle booth and didn't realize there was no light and we were sitting in the dark although the wait staff tried to accommodate us with a lantern that went out and we asked for extra candles and that helped. The waitress (5 stars for her) was excellent and kept us warm and shed light through her humor and patient understanding on how we felt, and the waiter who brought us our drinks was very upbeat too--we like that!

This is our 2nd time at the restaurant. We drove nearly 2 hours just for lunch and would definitely do it again. The food is amazing, the staff are on point and the view is spectacular. I highly recommend it.

Steak was over cooked and veggies were cold. Salmon skin was burned and some artichoke leaves too tough to eat. We will not return to your restaurant. Paid way too much for crummy food.

The restaurant is overpriced. We thought it would be a little nicer. We made our reservation for 7pm. Someone from the restaurant called and said our table might not be ready at 7pm. No problem I said, we are ok waiting a few minutes. Come to find out, our table had a reservation right before us at 6:45pm. 15 minutes before ours. They said the other people had not checked in, but were still holding their table. This lasted over twenty minutes. The host suggested we find another restaurant. Could book anywhere else because we already had a reservation with them. All not great service, and we were staying at the hotel. Finally, they found us a table. Skip this restaurant.

The food was excellent. Our server Adam was friendly, knowledgeable and timely. Atmosphere was very quiet. We came during sunset and sat by the window, it was lovely.

The service was very bare minimum. I noticed other servers were a little more attentive and all told the specials or had a quick word asking about their adventures. Our server never told us the specials and was very cold.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Bellwether and dine at the Lighthouse. For some reason our lunch was not as spectacular as usual. Burger that was supposed to be medium rare was well done. The roasted cauliflower was bland. We still enjoyed our time there, the staff is amazing.
