Gordie's Restaurant is the only licensed restaurant in Alert Bay that is open daily with a great seasonal breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. The menu features both Canadian and Indigenous cuisine with a great selection of local draft beer from Vancouver Island. Come enjoy the view or sit in the lounge and watch the game. Happy Hour is daily between 3-5. Gordie's also has 2 in-house suites, and another cottage a block away if you wish to extend your stay. All have breathtaking ocean views. We encourage making a reservation to ensure you can experience all Gordie's has to offer.- Cormorant Island offers the world renown U'mista Cultural Centre, a traditional Big House, the world largest totem pole, extensive bike and walking trails. On the edge of the Broughton Archipelago, visitors frequently see Orca, and other whales swimming by the Bay, along with an impressive variety of local birds. There is a local whale watching tour company.
