La tradition d'excellence culinaire de la famille Sena remonte au début de 1947 lorsque Carlo « Papa » Sena a commencé à cuisiner dans la Naples de l'après-guerre. La famille a continué cette expérience en traversant l'Atlantique et a ouvert le La Famiglia en 1976 dans un entrepôt de thé colonial. Aujourd'hui, le La Famiglia est devenu le meilleur restaurant italien de Philadelphie et un site d'intérêt majeur de la scène gastronomique dynamique de la ville.

Came here for a date and the entire experience was incredible. The atmosphere was so elegant, it felt like a scene from a movie. The appearance and decor of the restaurant was very well invested. Everything from the drinks to appetizers and dinner itself were delicious. We chose dishes offered from the evening’s special menu and they were phenomenal.

I have been to this restaurant many times since it has opened in the 1970s. The food and service is still exceptional.

It took far too long for our entrees to come out. We waited 40 minutes from the time they cleared the appetizers until the time the entrees came. But the food was quite good and the wine was great.

We were visiting Philadelphia for a conference and La Famiglia was a short distance from the hotel. We wanted Italian and hoped for the best. We got the best! The bruschetta was the best we have had. The sale was good but not excellent. The Spinach Ravioli was excellent. The whole branding, filleted at table side was magnificent. Our host and servers were warm, caring, attentive and a perfect complement to a great meal. We would return in a heartbeat.

We went here for our anniversary dinner. It was our first time there. It did not disappoint. Will definitely go back again.

Cena con moglie e figlio , serata perfetta, cibo eccellente , la prima volta che mangio la pasta al dente al di fuori dell’Italia, abbiamo conosciuto il Proprietario che ci ha consigliato qualche piatto e si è poi seduto al tavolo con noi , persona fantastica ! Da provare !!!!

We haven’t been here in years and it didn’t disappoint. The Bronzino was incredible. The eggplant appetizer was so good. Always a great meal and dining experience.

We love this place! The service is always impeccable. Gracious hostess, server, wait staff. The wine selection is out of this world. The food is incredible - we enjoyed the shrimp and eggplant appetizers. Both were outstanding - the eggplant is the best I’ve ever had. We also enjoyed the mushroom pasta and a personal request for pappardelle pomodoro. This will be my go to from now on. I order it often as a special request and it was prepared to perfection. I can’t wait to go back and order it again!!
