Joule, le premier restaurant du célèbre couple de cuisiniers Rachel Yang et Seif Chirchi, a déménagé en octobre 2012 pour s'installer au sein de l'espace novateur et flambant neuf du Fremont Collective, dans le quartier de Wallingford/Fremont, à Seattle. Inauguré en 2007, le Joule s'est constitué une base de clients fidèles et a attiré l'attention des médias locaux et nationaux grâce à la vision moderne et unique du couple de la cuisine coréenne. Le Joule est le restaurant de la maturité pour Rachel Yang et Seif Chirchi, qui mettent en avant l'amour de la Corée pour le bœuf avec des morceaux originaux accompagnés de garnitures typiques à partager. Les réservations sont acceptées pour un repas d'une durée de 2 heures. Joule can accommodate parties of up to 60 people for a seated dinner, and up to 100 for reception style. Depending on party size, budget, and/or occasion we have dining and buyout options for the dining room, bar, patio, and full restaurant.Food & drinks for all events will reflect food similar to that found on our menus. Food is available in several formats: family-style buffet, family-style seated, plated seated, or small bites/canape buffet. Please discuss which will work best for your event with our Event Manager. Menus can be determined ahead of time, or guests can allow Chefs Yang and Chirchi, and their crew, to determine a seasonal menu a few days before the event.

Awesome service, great food. Servers were super kind and helpful and remembered the occasion we were celebrating! Will definitely go back (and try to sit outside, it looked cozy with the fireplace)

This was our second time at Joule for a special occasion. It's a bit of a drive for us, but well worth it! The food is seriously amazing, and so is the service. The people were very nice on both visits.

Very good food and service. They helped with our toddler's needs and were very accommodating. Food flavors were novel/interesting but also good. Bright sun was a little troublesome and there seemed to be lots of "leaks" in the patio cover.

This is one of our favorite places to go. Server was wonderful and made excellent suggestions. We highly recommend for the delicious food and nice cocktails.

Joule never fails. It’s always delicious. They keep the Joule favorites but add a few new dishes. The staff are professional, helpful and so friendly! Our favorite go to restaurant in Seattle!

First of all, overall I had a lovely time. I was celebrating a birthday with good company, we came to spend money, eat and drink our way through the menu. Most plates were delicious and thought there was a lot of balance, flavor and freshness to the plates. However I was put in a position where it left me feeling him salty towards joule. I am not one to write reviews, but felt the need to publicly share my experience. My issue is regarding their octopus. When we revived it, my partner graciously cut it into bite size pieces so it could be served to our table. The first bite was inedible, it was a piece closer to the beak, but was comparable to chewing on a piece of rubber. After chewing on it for about a minute, i was finally able to swallow it. Someone else tried it and complained about the chewiness of it. I tried a smaller piece, to no avail. Either it was not a good product, or it was not cooked properly. All of that said, that experience is not why I’m writing this review. I’m disappointed that when I told my server, they took the plate away and told us they would not refund us for it. I do not fault my server for that, however I do fault the management. It’s not behavior conducive to retaining a clientele, and in fact, I will not be returning. As a side note, the 4% service charge is also a little weird. I understand the tipping policy is in a state of change nationally as well as locally. However, it’s strange when joule, itself, is retaining those tips. I much rather just give that tip to the employee themselves. I’ve been apart of a couple class action lawsuits where the service staff sued the employer for behavior similar. If anyone on the service staff ever feels like they are not receiving their fair share of that 4% service charge, I suggest they explore their labor rights.

Easily our favorite restaurant in Seattle. We are foodies and like to try everything we see reviewed well, Joule stands above the rest, every dish is excellent, the flavor combinations are somehow both classic and inventive. Also, Brandie, the manager is just excellent at her job! So friendly, so nice and takes care of every detail of your dining experience.

Stand out dishes were the mackerel and smashed potatoes. The Chinese pancake with caviar topping was also delicious. Our server was very attentive and made some great recommendations. Especially for dessert. I was with a group of friends so we were sharing everything and most wanted the pandan coconut cheesecake, I'm not a huge cheesecake fan, but I actually loved it. It was a creative divergence from usual cheesecakes, light, and not too heavy on the coconut flavor, and topped with lychee. Our server suggested pairing with the rhubarb spoon cake, which was served warm, and was equally delicious!

I’ve been going to joule for what seems almost a decade. They have consistently impressed me with each visit. I come here to celebrate myself, my marriage, and randomly bc I leave happy and nourished every time. The team is incredible, you can rely on seeing the same faces year over year. This is rare and a testament to their culture. Joule allows for vetted creativity in the menu but understands the staples they do best. Watching the menu shift with the season for freshness, but they keep the fan favorites (rice cakes, smoked tofu, Jalisco campfire). I literally have dreams of the smoked tofu salad. Brunch is an unexpected treat featuring riffs of varying cuisine. However, they stay true to joule flavors and quality. Cheers to the Joule and the team. Thank you for another delicious meal.

Just what we were looking for. With portions on the smaller side, they were delicious and nicely curated for our group. Heated outdoor space was perfect for our yet-unvaccinated baby. Bone marrow and short rib were standouts.

We had a very nice meal at Joule. Waitress was great, and made very good Suggestions about how and what to order. The food was creative and the portions were just like size. Spicy dishes were spicy, but not too spicy

Lovely hidden gem of a spot. Entire menu was inventive without being pretentious or overwhelming. Waitstaff was attentive without being overbearing. Ambience was nice but lighting was a little too bright for it to feel intimate, but this didn’t in anyway take away from the meal experience. Will happily return.

Great food! Eat at Revel more often. Might not return to Joule. Off putting that after taking our dessert & drink orders and placing those orders in front of us we are told next reservation is in 5 minutes and 5 minutes later send another person to say next reservation for your table is here and you need to leave. I get needing to turn tables, but for three to do cocktails, full dinner with wine and dessert with drinks, this is ridiculous. Just charge what you need to charge to allow for a proper dinner to be eaten.

We thoroughly enjoy everything about this restaurant. I will admit that when you first look at the menu, it may seem to not offer as many different course options as you would hope/expect. However, this was our second time at Joule in two weeks. Service is great and the food and drink are exceptional. Love this place!

The food definitely felt Korean in some ways , but a lot of these dishes are meant to be side dishes. It requires rice. It’s just how korean food works, especially when they season all their dishes to be so salty. They literally told us that they do not serve rice because they don’t see a reason to (?)

Joule never disappoints. Our goto bone marrow apps are always in rotation and we love it. The new jackfruit cheesecake is an interesting smattering of flavors that we loved. Service is always top tier, and an eye for detail that makes this Fremont/Wallingford jem a staple.

I really liked the ambience and our server was friendly and provided helpful suggestions. I also really like my bourbon cocktail, unfortunately the food was a letdown. I can’t really put my finger on it but it seems uninspired and quite expensive for the portions, especially the meat $50 meat dish.

I heard great things about this place so checked it out with my lady. The ambience was cute, clean, modern. I enjoyed viewing the open kitchen to see the chefs cook. The food was very underwhelming and the portions were very small. We got the popular burger and the Korean ribs. I am Korean so maybe my expectations were higher but still, I thought the quality of the food was sub-par and it just wasn’t worth $80+. There are so many good, authentic Korean restaurants in federal way that have a lot more value in terms of quality and quantity. Joule has a cute vibe and the food is decent but the price and portions affected the overall experience for me.
