Le restaurant met en vedette une cuisine primée américaine contemporaine et une grande carte des vins. La salle à manger est située dans la grange en pierres rénovée et dispose de parquet, de murs en pierres apparentes et d'une ambiance historique. Mothers day dinner was fabulous. Our waitress was soooo sweet and kind. Everyone that came to the table to bring water bread etc were also wonderful. We will be returning for fathers day

We were a bit disappointed in our anniversary dinner. We got married 23 years ago at the JAI and have been going back every year on our anniversary. When we arrived the hostess did mention our anniversary; however, our waitress did not nor did we receive any type of "extra" - i.e. a glass of champagne, a dessert, etc. The service was not what we usually expect from the JAI. Our waitress gave us menus and did not come back to our table for at least 10-15 minutes to take our order. She told us she would be sending bread right over; however, once the salads arrived we had to ask for the bread to be brought over. The food was good but my husband's pork schnitzel was overcooked. We hate to break our record and have to go to another restaurant for our anniversary but that remains to be seen. There were two weddings going on that evening; however, hopefully that does not interfere with the restaurant patrons.

The main dishes were pretty good, but the salad was not. It was very loud inside. Servers were pleasant. All in all it was average to above average but a cozy place.

Great pre fixe three course lunch for Mother’s Day! Grounds look beautiful. Food and service wonderful, as always. We got crab cake and lobster roll for our main courses in the pre fixe a d they were excellent! Restaurant was super busy and our waitress was still super attentive.

We had nice weather so we were able to eat outside. The property is gorgeous. Our server was great and the food is top notch. Looking forward to a return visit.

We had lunch at the Joseph Ambler Inn on Sunday to preview the restaurant and accommodations as we consider this venue for a small wedding luncheon in October. Lunch was very good, cocktails looked pretty (we had wine) and the service was excellent. I recommend JAI.

It could not have been a more perfect evening. Our Server, Denise, was so nice and was always there at the perfect time. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The Chilean sea bass with crab and English pea risotto was delicious and never disappoints.

It was not the Joseph Ambler from our previous experiences. The recent review stated a romantic ambiance - there was none. It was cell like. The sea bass portion was miniscule, and the steak was tough and grisly and overdone. The service was essentially non-existent. Everything was overpriced based on the quantity and quality of the food. Needless to say, we won't be going back.

Noises we were seated for lunch in the bar. Two other couples were seated next to a hard surface wall which caused their conversation to be louder. Prior to their arrival the area was quiet.

This is the 2nd time we've eaten in the dining room. The menu selections are limited and repetitive. We were there over a year apart and the menu was almost the same. That said, their banquet facility is stellar. Both the service and food quality were top notch.

Food is always delicious. 1. We were never served bread after seated. I asked a busboy as he was bringing a basket over to the table next to us who was seated after us. He said he would get us some. Nothing. I flagged over the waitress and when she brought it back she said they ran out of bread. What? No sense. 2. Once we got our food within a minute or 2 waitress should be coming back to see if everything is OK and if anyone would like fresh ground pepper. Nothing. There were no salt and pepper shakers on table. Once again I had to signal for waitress that we wanted pepper. Just stupid annoying stuff that should be second nature in the restaurant industry.

Overall we liked this establishment. The food was very good and they had a nice selection. For the prices we anticipated the seating and table setting to be a bit more up scale but it was fine the way it was. The sound does carry inside, we look forward to returning during the warmer months where we can sit outside.

I visited my sister last week and she took me to the Joseph Ambler Inn. I must say the dinner was excellent and I want to go back again in May and enjoy the outdoor dinning. A very good dinning experience.

We visited tge Joseph Ambler Inn to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were seated in a small dining room just off the main room. Turned out the other 2 tables were there for anniversary dinners. The service was outstanding. We had salads, a steak and chicken dish, delicious side of Brussel sprouts. We finished with coffee and dessert. We will return.

Enjoyed a quiet Thursday evening dinner to celebrate our anniversary! They sat us in the secluded blue & white room and were attentive throughout the evening. Yellowfin napoleon starter was delicious, as was the steak and the seared scallops. Huge perk is many items were able to be made gluten free!

Always a good experience at Joseph Ambler Inn. We stay at the Inn when visiting relatives in the area, and have one of our dinners there. We've never been disappointed. Only slight issue is that it can get noisy, so not always conducive to good dinner conversation.

The beet salad was terrible….too many cooked beets with a few pieces of sliced fennel…that’s it….no dressing to notice. The ceaser salad had almost no dressing!! The lamb pasta was unremarkable with just some lamb cubes and onion over some cooked pasta. Service was slow and we had to ask for everything and then they started taking dishes off the table before we were finished!!

The first problem was that the restaurant is not handicap accessible, making it difficult for someone on a walker to access the restaurant, especially in the pouring rain. The food was average and the waitress was scarce, for the most part. It was my Mom’s birthday, and unfortunately, the evening was not as expected

Restaurant is nice looking. The menu is kind of weird. It has limited appetizers and then a shareable section but it has not only larger apps but sandwiches too. Service was no good. Food was ok. Pork schnitzel was horrible. Waitress told us she would give us free dessert for waiting for meals so long and we did not get that. It was not busy at the end so no excuse of forgetting. I would be very hesitant to return. You owe me about $44 I figure.

Our meal was good. Servings are small based on the cost you pay. Our waitress was good and the room we were seated in was a basic room with tables and outdated decor. Both of our meals were good, nothing outstanding, but good fare. I had the Champagne Chicken and my husband had the steak.

Food was delicious! Service needs improvement. We had to ask for more water. Server started clearing the table, took away one of our plates (diner was finished), but also took away rolls and butter while I was still eating without asking.

Sitting in the bar area during happy hour was great!. Food was excellent and had the nicest bar tender, Austin. Happy hour prices were terrific. We’ll definitely be back!

The wedge salad was amazing, and we both got filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. Very cozy restaurant, nice people. We skipped dessert because the food was plenty. Lavender martinis were very good.
