Le restaurant met en vedette une cuisine primée américaine contemporaine et une grande carte des vins. La salle à manger est située dans la grange en pierres rénovée et dispose de parquet, de murs en pierres apparentes et d'une ambiance historique. L'établissement propose également des repas décontractés et des Happy Hours servis au JPub. Les tables du JPub sont sur le principe du premier arrivé, premier servi. Restaurant was practically empty indoors yet we were seated next to 4 people. One gentleman appeared to be the financial advisor and spent the entire meal “blabbering” about financial forecasts. It would have been much nicer to be seated in another part of the restaurant.

Out sat outside in a beautiful setting. Food and service was excellent. Will definitely be returning very soon.

Food was incredible! Service was great. Everyone was very attentive from the waitress to the water guy. Can't wait to go again!

We always have a delicious meal at Joseph Ambler Inn! We shared the wedge salad which was great—had a balsamic glaze! My husband had salmon and I had branzino. Both were so good! We will be back again. The food keeps bringing us back.

We were so very excited for our first visit to the historic Joseph Ambler Inn. Nearly everyone we know raves about it. Our experience, however, left a lot to be desired. We made a reservation and arrived promptly, noting on the reservation that it was for a "Date". We were asked whether we wanted indoor or outdoor seating - we said indoor. Had we been told that we would be seated right outside of a wedding party, we would have chosen differently. The volume was, at times, so loud, I could not hear my dining partner, and the constant flashes from the wedding photographer left me with a headache. The food was described beautifully and made it sound so appetizing; I only wish it tasted as good as it read. I ordered the fish and chips and received three of the smallest fish nuggets. The plate was almost completely filled with french fries and the cole slaw came in a condiment cup. My husband ordered the fish and spring pea risotto. The fish was poorly seasoned (practically non-existent). The Spring Pea Risotto was palatable. Then because the desserts sounded so appealing, we ordered three! Only one of which was tasty. The chocolate covered banana cheesecake had hot fudge poured over it which left a jarring, unappetizing flavor and the butterscotch fig croissant bread pudding was fig-adjacent. There were maybe 2 or 3 pieces of fig in it - the rest just tasted like sticks of butter. Our server, Jaclyn, did the best she could, but it felt like she was stretched thin. Overall, I was incredibly disappointed and for the price we paid, I don't think we'll go back.

We always enjoy eating here. Delicious food and beautiful grounds which can really be appreciated when the weather is nice enough to eat outdoors. Friendly servers and all around a good experience.
