L'Il Terrazzo Carmine, détenu et exploité par Carmine Smeraldo, est l'une des véritables anomalies de la scène gastronomique de Seattle, un restaurant qui marche très bien avec des standard immanquablement élevés et une clientèle sophistiquée et fidèle. Sa cuisine est plébiscitée comme la meilleure de Seattle par les médias et, surtout, par les habitants de la ville. L'Il Terrazzo Carmine est situé dans le quartier historique de Pioneer Square, niché dans une ruelle urbaine restaurée avec des entrées dans le hall vintage sur la 1ère Avenue ou dans la charmante cour à l'arrière. Depuis 1984, ce restaurant italien classique appartenant à Carmine Smeraldo est le lieu de prédilection des clients locaux qui n'ont de cesse de revenir.     This restaurant is outstanding! The food is superb-fresh, creative and authentic. The staff is friendly and the service is great. Atheena was our server and was wonderful!

    I have been to Carmines several times, I have celebrated birthdays, graduations, even came here for my wedding shower. So when my bestfriend wanted to go out to dinner for her birthday Carmines was my first thought. I made a reservation and when I realized we were going to be late due to obscene amount of traffic (Pres Biden was in town + Mariners traffic) It was a nightmare. I'm usually super prompt and hate being late, when we arrived I was very apologetic. We were told we had to hurry and order due to the kitchen being closed, so we hurried and ordered. Where it started to go down hill for me is when they started cleaning up and turning lights off literally AROUND US. I mean we had the ambiance for a total of maybe 10 mins before they started basically closing the restaurant down, when I got my bill I still tipped GREAT, and when we went to walk out we were literally walking with the bar staff saying their goodbyes to the coworkers and complaining about their feet and that they were glad to be off. Hear me out, I understand their is a closing time, but when you have decided to accommodate a guest no matter the time customer service should always remain the top priority, and that may at times look like having to stay a little later.. after a $200 bill we just felt rushed and felt for the first time that I didn't receive the Carmine's experience that I am used to.

    Excellent calamari, piccatta, steak frites, and wine. Attentive but not annoying service. All in all it remains our favorite Italian restaurant in Seattle.

    It was a lovely birthday meal for our friend. The service was excellent. Most of the meal was good, but ,y lobster was rather over cooked in my pasta.

    The restaurant is amazing. The food was good. We ordered eggplant parmigiana, rigatoni bolognese and gnocchis. The gnocchi’s were overcooked, felt like eating mashed potatoes. The eggplant was amazing, also the rigatoni. We had cheesecake as dessert, and was delicious. The service was 5 stars. Would come back again.

    Superb food, great ambiance, professional service, great wine list. One of the best restaurants in Seattle - equally good for a special occassion or a business lunch.

    Perfect as usual. We have been celebrating my mother's birthdays there for years, and this time, her 93rd, they outdid themselves.

    One of our favorite places in Seattle! We often choose the bar tables as it's nice to feel settled into a booth. The staff is amazing - they know the wines so well and the food is so consistently high quality. I had the stuffed chicken for the first time and it was beyond expectation. Love that we see the same faces of their o-so professional staff every time. Truly a gem in Seattle. Can't wait for the weather to warm and eat on the chandelier/firebox patio.
