Our focus is simply that. We are a full service restaurant with a full bar, and amazing everyday brunch, lunch and dinner. Located right in the Italian Market area of South Philadelphia gives us access to a variety of different ingredients allowing us to make anything our hearts desire. We make everything here from our chips to our oven roasted meats and do not limit ourselves to one cuisine. A true scratch kitchen!

Hawthorne’s is a lot of fun. We love the server Joe and the food is incredible. It’s interesting because there’s something different every time. Great family place and also fun for dates. Parking around there is also pretty easy.

It was a cool looking place. I had the Greek salad and it was drenched in dressing and the chicken didn’t have any flavor to it. My husband falafel sandwich was very good. The music was extremely loud.

I used to live closer to Hawthorne’s and frequented it more often. But I’ve been there twice in the last two weeks: once for dinner and once for brunch. Both times the food was delicious. The service is okay. They are very nice but not the most efficient, but it doesn’t diminish the experience. And the prices are reasonable. I will make a note to eat there more often.

Not the best interaction with the hostess who was fairly rude when we showed up fifteen minutes early for a brunch reservation in a half empty restaurant

The food was out of this world and they were so accommodating to the kids in our group. They did warn us as soon as we got there that the kitchen would take a while to get the food out.

My friend and I met here and even though we both gave in the reservation we were seated separately and had to find each other which was weird. Otherwise- the food was incredible and the service was great. Love their ever changing menu and specials. The coffee wasn’t good but it so rarely is these days. Will definitely be back. Hawthorne’s is a mainstay.

Our server was fantastic! But the food was disappointing. Our potatoes were cold, my dish was missing an item. And what is the service fee you get charged when eating IN the restaurant now?

Hawthornes is one of the best places I've been to for brunch. Making a reservation made it a breeze, the menu had a great selection of both food and drinks and everything my friends and I had was incredibly delicious. The atmosphere was beautiful and spacious, even with a steady flow of customers, the service was fantastic. I cannot recommend Hawthornes enough and will be coming back.

We went here for my Moms birthday and it will surely be a memory. The food was delicious and the environment was very energetic. Our server was very nice.

Waiter was great and attentive. Pastas we’re tasty and the cocktails were awesome. There was also a live band playing! Great atmosphere and cute decor. Will definitely go back.

I ordered the buffalo chicken dip and let’s just say it was unbearable to eat. The saltiness of this food tells me that the chef who prepared this was either inexperienced or just didn’t care about the food that he put out. Either way it was way too salty. Just a FYI there is no need to put salt in buffalo chicken dip as the sauce is naturally a little salty. Then, when I tried to grab the male waiter attention to the matter he pointed at me and then didn’t send anyone or come over himself. I immediately sent the salty food back and then declined the rest of my meal because of the food and the service from the male. Then, I received my bill but it still had all of the items listed on it. After speaking with the nice manager he was nice enough to adjust the bill without incident. The waitress who served us was great, but the guy and the salty food ruined the night for me. I didn’t even finish eating. I would have to see about this place again in the future but not any time soon. The chef or Sous chef, and or the expediter should have checked that before delivering it to our table.

Went for breakfast this morning. I’ve been 3 times with out of town guests. Consistently good food every time. I order the potato mess. They always accommodate my substitutions. The coffee/espresso drinks are excellent. Really great food. My friend and I had 2 entrees and two espresso drinks for 42.00. Reasonable prices for delicious and well cooked food. Make a reservation as it get crowded.

10/10 experience From the ambiance to the service, drinks and food! So comfy and cozy, the staff was so pleasant and attentive, we got espresso martinis that were scrumptious and the food was elite! We got the shrimp chowder, buffalo chicken dip and split a Mac burger with fries! Everyone was absolutely delicious!
