Frankie's Fellini Cafe is a casual neighborhood find. The menu is filled with authentic Italian dishes from Veal Chop Milanese to Linguini with Clam Sauce. Everything is made fresh from scratch. Chef Frank Chiavaroli, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, creates all the recipes, shops daily at the market for the freshest ingredients, and greets you at the door.

The cafe is BYOB. At Frankie's Fellini Cafe you can always enjoy your favorite wine or beer with our delicious meals without a corking fee.

We had an excellent meal, as always! The chicken cacciatore was delicious! The seafood pasta was loaded with mussels, clams, squid and shrimp in a savory aioli sauce. Both dishes were great! We took home an order of cannolis to share later. We love the intimate neighborhood feel and are so glad this gem is nearby.

As you can see by my scores, this place is a real mixed bag. The food is excellent and a terrific value. The place is too small, very cramped and borders on uncomfortable. Parking, by the way, is terrible. The service was very good. It, too, is affected by the cramped quarters. I wish this place would relocate because the food quality and value is so good.

We went for the 1st time on Saturday night for a 730 reservation. Parking is really bad, hardly any spots in front of this little unassuming strip mall. But we parked on the street. It is a cute little no frills cafe, but the noise level is way too loud. I know loud talking and people enjoying themselves is a great sign, but I am hard of hearing and would never have been able to have a conversation with my partner. We waited about 20 minutes to get seated and asked to sit outside as it would be much more quiet. BYOB so that is a bonus for us. Huge menu with great options! I enjoyed by dinner, the meatball appetizer and the Shrimp Fra Diavlo with rigatoni. My partner had the rigatoni Bolognese, it was not to his liking but he is very very picky. Our waitress was great. We paid by CC and were not aware of the 4% CC charge, which is a lot. I think the wait staff should let you know when you go to pay that there is that charge, the checks are handwritten so there is no disclaimer to be aware of. we would have paid by cash had we been aware. We would go back if ever in the area again.

I love the food. It might be one of the best Italian restaurants on the Main Line if not Philly. Service is consistently good and properly staffed. Atmosphere could use some upgrading. Place is very loud. Seating is uncomfortable and tight. My recommendation is to go on a weeknight. Much more pleasant than Friday or Saturday.

Absolutely delicious!! With the BYOB policy, the cost was reasonable, and the menu was extensive and portions were generous! On a roadtrip, we drove out of our way to eat at Frankie’s, based on friends’ recommendation, and will do so again!!
