We believe in using local, organic and artisan products whenever possible. At Rocco’s, we make as much from scratch as possible. This includes all our sauces, dressings, dough, ricotta, sausage, as well as many bar items. Some of our sources include Field Roast, Olsen Farms, Zoe’s Artisan Cured Meats, Collin’s Family Orchard.

Du Mamma Melina, le Seattle Times du 26 août 2010 a écrit : « Les trois frères Varchetta ont si soigneusement repensé le Mamma Melina qui vient de déménager, que même leur propre mère ne reconnaîtrait pas le lieu, alors qu'il a été baptisé en son nom ». Le nouveau Mamma Melina, qui occupe l'extrémité sud de la résidence Corydon, près du centre commercial University Village, compte des points communs avec l'élégant restaurant en centre-ville des frères Varchetta, le Barolo. Un jour d'été, vous croiriez qu'il s'agit de Rodeo Drive et non du sentier Burke-Gilman qui longe la vaste terrasse à l'avant du restaurant. Parmi les bassins peu profonds, ornés de globes d'argent qui étincellent au soleil, vous dégusterez, des lunettes surdimensionnées sur le nez, un verre de vin dans des canapés agrémentés de coussins moelleux, ou des pâtes faites maison à une table recouverte d'une nappe blanche, sous des parasols en toile.Et le tout, à un prix raisonnable par rapport à la qualité de la cuisine.

We also have a bottle shop next door with a large selection of wines for your next party, date night, or to enjoy in house with your dinner. **NOTE ABOUT PARKING/CONSTRUCTION**We recognize that the current construction makes it hard to get to our location. We do have a parking garage that is accessible from the east side of 35th. We validate for $3 parking, ask your server for a parking voucher. There is also street parking in the neighborhoods of Stone Way. We also encourage walking, biking, or ride share when possible.

We opened our first pizzeria in 2004 in the burgeoning Capitol Hill neighborhood. For months before we opened curious onlookers poked their heads in the former auto body shop, and outlandish rumors spread. One person saw a team of masons reportedly flown in from Naples to build a gargantuan wood-fired oven, someone heard that the bricks also came from Naples rich with Vesuvian ash, a reporter ran a story about a taxi driver leading our owner down a dark Neaopolitan street to meet a talented Pizzaiolo who was then whisked to an airport….As it turns out almost all of the tall tales are true – on opening night people lined up for the authentic Neaopolitan pizza and since then our ovens have only gotten busier. Via Tribunali has been called "more authentic than the pizzerias of Naples," and even though that is a flattering exaggeration it is fair to say that our pizzerias have grown out of an almost unnatural passion for the food & wine of Southern Italy.
