Our waiter was great! The food was great! Although we had reservations and arrived 15 minutes early m, we didn’t have to wait too long to be seated considering it was Mothers Day! Great location! Parking jd always a challenge! The desert was also great!

Never have made 10pm reservations, but totally worth the late night meal!! Nothing was winding down at this restaurant…every table full, lots of diversity in patrons and in dress (some casual, some fancy). A little noisy to be able to converse around table but that just accompanies the energy of the place. Service & food: Ariel was wonderful. We basically went with her suggestions and shared all our dishes from 3 appetizers, 2 entrees and a salad. King crab appetizer (a special) was our favorite but the dumplings were really good too!

The food was amazing. The service was excellent, but it was as loud as a nightclub in there. It was hard to talk to the people sitting at your table because it was so loud. But overall, we had a nice dinner.

The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. We did have a small child at the next table over peering at us and touching our table, so close that he was breathing on our food. The parents were not disciplining him and even let the child run circles around their table, which did not feel appropriate in an upscale establishment. Obviously this isn’t Buddakan’s fault, but it did negatively affect our dining experience.

I would not go here for the food , food is mediocre at best , the Korean beef fried rice was very oily and salty the kimchi was very overwhelming. We got the sampler appetizer , the dumping was falling apart before it even got on my plate . We also had the wasabi crusted filet which was the best part of the meal . Service was good . The experience Was disappointing because of the food.

Have eaten here a number of times over the years while in Philadelphia . Consistently excellent food. Have sat at bar alone, come with small and large groups. Generally service has been excellent but most recent visit was terrible. Wait staff ghosted us for extended periods and even when we asked another staff for help, our wait staff did not appear for another 10--15 minutes. Never offered apologies. Other wait staff in area were attentive to their tables, so seems it was this one person.

Fantastic service and excellent explanation of the menu and cuisine. Ambience is amazing, quality of the food is superb too. A must go if you’re ever in Philadelphia and want something exceptional.

Love this restaurant, food is always excellent as is the service. However the noise level upstairs was so bad we could not hear ourselves. There were two tables of obnoxious drunk twenty somethings screaming at the top of their lungs and neither management nor the servers pointed out they were disturbing others. While general acoustics have become worse everywhere, this was so bad I am hesitant to go back for dinner again. And the valet parking is a rip off - $30 (although posted price was $24) which they asked us to pay in advance in cash and then tried to claim we had not paid when we were leaving. Weirdly the passenger seat of the car had been moved far back which is not something easily done and raised questions.

The food was fabulous. We sat near the kitchen and had the opportunity to watch the action. It’s a well oiled machine back there. The manager is top notch! Our waiter was very nice and worked with confidence. The best part my brother in law picked up the check !!! LOL

Meh what a bust. Edemame dumps - 10/10 Chicken ginger dumps - 8/10 General Tsos soup dumps - -(negative)50/10, they were not good. Lemon sesame chicken (didn't try yet I got it to go, but it looks good so 6/10) Wasabi crusted filet - 2/10 Idk nectar is better especially at this price point. Also the only reason I can here was to say: if you’re gonna pack my food by slapping it in the to go box, pls let me box my own food. It looked disgusting. I spent 200 bucks for a poor experience compared to when I went a few years back. Sorry yall. :( Servers and bartender were amazing and kind though. A saving grace.

My GF allergy limits my choices. I ate roughly about 10 times @Budakan. My children loved their food. I mostly get Lobster fried rice and it's usually amazing. I felt like it was just edible "i was so disappointed ". It did not taste bad but if i knew it would have taste off i definitely wouldn't have got lobster fried rice.

Had not been back to Buddakan in many years! Must say, it’s still a wonderful restaurant with great drinks, delicious food and a really lovely atmosphere. If you’re looking for a quiet dinner, this isn’t the place but if you’re looking for a festive and fun time, this is great! Service was good (even though we chatted a bit after dinner) and the food came out quickly and hot. So great to know it’s not slipped in all the years.

The restaurant was half empty but our party of 5 was seated at a small uncomfortable table where we were pretty crammed. We asked to get a larger table or pull up a chair to the empty side of the table but the restaurant staff said they could not accommodate either. Not a he service you would expect when coming in for a birthday dinner reservation into a half empty restaurant and spending $100 per person.

The food here is amazing! I went for my 29th birthday with 4 guests. Overall we spent around 350 not including a tip. I can’t wait to go again. Our waitress was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Definitely would recommend if you are into family style dining and Asian cuisine
