Bud & Marilyn's is a retro American restaurant from Chef Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran. The menu features updated American comfort food utilizing fresh and local ingredients. Our bar features local craft beers, handmade American classic cocktails and an affordable wine list. Our focus is simple - good old American cooking, great drinks and warm hospitality.

Bud & Marilyn's is located in the heart of center city at the corner of 13th & Locust Street in the bustling Midtown Village neighborhood.

We currently offer indoor (STANDARD) and outdoor seating for parties up to 4 guests maximum.

Happy Hour is only available at our bar and outdoor seating.

Our party of 4 had a great dining experience at Bud & Marilyn's. The food was exceptional and the service was great! It turned out to be a little pricier than we expected but it was well worth it. Only thing I'd change is the metal chairs (which were very noisy)! But, fortunately, I think ours were the only ones. We'll definitely be coming back!

Cool vibe. Dishes ordered: Fish and chips. Not as flakey and flavorful as i was hoping for. They had an odd taste. Like the oil needed to be changed. Also the batter wasn’t very good. Came with coleslaw. It was ok. Also came with smashed and fried potatoes. They were a bit burnt. Extra dirty martini. Very good Kimchi rice with pork belly. That was very good! Everything cooked perfectly. Very favorful!

Unfortunately, we came in about a half hour before closing for the afternoon and could tell they were trying to rush us to order before we really had a chance to look at the menu. Food was good, but service wasn’t.

Overall, very enjoyable and one of the best servers ever! We liked most of the dinner, but the vegetarian option (there’s only one) is not great. And the place is noisy.

Service was excellent, food tasty, and received help and accommodation increasing our reservation when we asked to add one more to our table just a few hours before our res time on a busy Saturday night.

We enjoyed our meals very much! Service was very good. Only drawback was difficulty hearing conversation with our dinner companions (only 4 of us) at times.

We had a an amazing brunch at Bud & Marilyn’s! Highly recommend the Short Rib Chilaquiles, Fried Chicken Sandwich and Fried Cheese Curds. Our server Krista was extremely hospitable, knowledgeable and generally cool as hell. We’ll definitely be back.

I have been coming here since they opened. Never had a bad meal from these wonderful 2 ladies owned restaurant. I had the meatloaf, which I am so picky about but theirs is moist and flavorful. Creamy mashed and peas and carrots and my meal was set. My friend had the fried chicken which I know Marcey is known for. I have had multiple choices from the menu and never disappointed. The Lakeside, my fave drink there was particularly well done. Our server very knowledgeable and professional. Strawberry/ rhubarb slab pie another hit. I do miss the eatery choice but I guess, politics. Gets really loud so know that but that is something cannot control.

Was very loud for dinner at 5:30. Jane our waitress took good care of us. The manager even stopped by our table bc there was a problem with an allergy ingredient in one of our meals.

Everything was really good. The cheese curds are to die for, and I really enjoyed the cocktails. The service was quick and our server was very friendly and funny. The only downside was it was very loud and difficult to carry a conversation.

So loud! Food was pretty good. Salmon cooked nicely. Strawberry Rhubarb pie not too sweet. Biscuits good. Not much lamb at all on the house made pappardelle noodles. Tasty dish just 3 or 4 small shreds of lamb. Server excellent. Bathrooms are a good size, clean, and nicely decorated. Just don't look up because the ceiling in the far one looks like it will fall on you while washing your hands. Strange rule about Happy Hour menu. Only served to the bar and part (seems like the majority) of the dining room. Not to the sorta alcove area right of the hostess stand. Even the server didn't know why. Need to put that in the description so people know where exactly to sit for the Happy Hour menu. Perhaps make it fun and paint a line on the floor.

We were able to be seated early for our reservation. The food was delicious and the wait staff made sure everything went well even though we had to wait extra for our food.

Love the food and drinks at B&M, especially the fried chicken. This visit, the food was excellent, but what really exceeded expectations was our server, Lauren. She was perfect from beginning to end. Thanks!!

It was a quieter night and although me and my friends took our time figuring out what we would order, our server should not have ignored us for 15-20 minute periods. She should have stopped by just so we could have caught her attention.

It is not traditional southern cuisine. The biscuits were not great and a little cold. They should get sweet iced tea on the menu. That is all.

The restaurant and experience overall was very good. The food was also very good (hangar steak and fried chicken), but the portions were medium sized. Be aware that side dishes are not included in your meal, which is something they should consider including. The price was a bit high, only considering the fact that the portions ran on the small to medium size and because the meal did not include a side dish. But the food was tasty and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Coming from Chicago, this joint is just really overrated. We had some of their staples like the fried rice and meatloaf. The fried rice was mushy at best and the meatloaf is one slice. Their tofu for the fried rice and buns were not marinated or flavored in anyway. The spring salad was just sad to look at. The cheese curds were maybe the only food item we enjoyed. Service was ok, good runners a tad confused in which food went where. Mind you, this was all on a Monday night, i couldn’t imagine the quality on the weekend. Wouldn’t recommend.

We very much enjoyed the seared scallops, Nashville Hot Buns, Nashville Hot Chicken, blood orange basil sorbet, and the remarkably large and tasty Funfetti cake. Our server Jane was very courteous and diligent. Our only wish is that that spirits selection was a little deeper, but we will definitely be back regardless.

While we really enjoyed the atmosphere and service was great, 3 out of 4 guests did not enjoy their meals at all. I feel like the banana French toast was way too soaked in syrup, the shakshuka lacked bread and the shrimp Benedict was too salty.
