Blue Crab Grill in Newark, Delaware is known for offering a giant menu filled with seafood options. Though much of it is seasonal, you can always count on some items at Blue Crab Grill. For example, there is the steak and cake. You get a grilled beef tenderloin and jumbo lump crab cakes. Another standby at Blue Crab Grill is the surf and turf. This includes a five-ounce beef tenderloin steak and a five-ounce lobster tail that is served stuffed with crab imperial. The crazy jambalaya is very popular as well. It comes with crab legs, crawfish, clams, mussels, scallops, chicken, shrimp and andouille sausage.

The food was blah! Not much flavor on any dish that we ordered. The crab bisque was awful. Very very bland but reeked of sherry at the same time. The 24hr beef short rib had no character at all. My husband had the steak and crab cake and that also lacked flavor big time. I will say that the fried calamari and peppers that my daughter ordered was tasty. My 3 year old son seemed to enjoy his mac n cheese but hey, he's a little guy and usually will mac n cheese without hesitation. I didn't care for it but it wasn't my meal. Our server was very nice and friendly which helped immensely with this very undelightful dinner. Sadly, I will not patronize this restaurant again.

Took an hour for the food to arrive after being ordered. Had a reservation. One order came out wrong, staff fixed it but felt the food was overall average for what the price and description advertised.

We went here on Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend. They were very busy, but there was no wait to get seated and food came fast. Patrick was our server and he he was so awesome - friendly and knowledgeable. Service was fast and attentive. Food was excellent. We had the drunken clams appetizer, the cod, halibut and shrimp entrees. All were excellent. The Mac and cheese side is to die for! We finished the meal with the rosemary chocolate cake and wow, just an amazing flavor combination. You have to try it to believe it. Not sure why we have not found this restaurant sooner, but we will be repeat customers.

Everything was amazing. Drunken clams did not disappoint. The cod special was stellar. Also had fried green tomatoes. The were excellent as well. Brittany did a great job explaining the menu.
