    Great atmosphere, except for the noise level. Our server was very upbeat and personable. The taste of the food was average to good, but a poor value proposition.

    Celebrated Mother’s Day with my family. It was fabulous, as always. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful. Will definitely go back!!!

    Jimmy our server was excellent. We enjoyed the lollipop lamb chops. The Butter Poached Lobster Tail was delicious so was the Raspberry Cheesecake . My husband had the Grilled Kansas City Steak. He was disappointed the steak was tough. We would definitely go back.

    we went for mothers day with 3 kids under 10. the waitress was nice and attentive. my kids loved using the silverware and felt more mature. limited food menu but great chicken fingers and fries. our food was excellent. recommend the mussels, braised short ribs. my kids complained it was dark but i rather enjoyed it. the decor was nice. the music was great as it allowed my kids to be a little louder and do a little dance. recommend for special occasions

    Always an enjoyable experience at the Belvedere! Not only a great menu, but usually some excellent specials.

    We were there for a nice birthday dinner. Unfortunately, this restaurant doesn’t live up to its former glory. The chicken picatta was gummy not crisp. The steaks were all under cooked. Veggies were good. Dessert was just OK. Really disappointed, probably won’t be back with so many other awesome choices in Lancaster city.

    I have been wanting to visit the Belvedere Inn for years and was so excited to finally make it. First impression? I absolutely loved the ambience. Old, dark, cool vibe. My husband ordered a bourbon with walnut bitters (not an on-menu drink). Torn between two options (both on menu), I consulted my waitress who asked if I'd be having one or two drinks, then confirmed my selection of the espresso martini even though it's considered more of a dessert martini (as an aside, I disagree or perhaps am a fan of life is short, eat dessert first). Both our drinks were good. My husband ended up lamenting his bourbon choice (Bulleit) and should have gone with a brand he was familiar with. We started our meal with the lobster and crab dip. This was a treat in myriad ways - first it was full of hefty pieces of crab and lobster, and had just the right amount of Cajun tang. The dip arrived in a cute and miniature cast iron pan on a plate with both wafer crackers and homemade tortilla chips. Finally, it was more than enough of a portion for the two of us (we usually don't get appetizers because we get full fast). For our entrees, my husband got the chicken piccata with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I opted for the pan-seared blackened salmon. (Again I was torn between this and the swordfish.) I went with the salmon so I could try the ramp pesto, with ramps being in season. Usually I think I make the better selection than my husband. But this time - I have to say that I preferred his dish more - especially those mashed potatoes - divine. My first bite of the ramp pesto was very salty, but I found it worked ok with the what-I-found as under-seasoned salmon, which had a nice crispy skin. Problem was - there wasn't enough of the pesto to season the fish the whole way through. I also didn't care for the grits which seemed very soupy and didn't bring anything wow to the dish. I also had one bone. All in all, I would go back to the Belvedere Inn and give that swordfish a try.
