    Always a great experience here, hands down best steakhouse in Philadelphia. Get there a little early and grab a drink at the bar before your reservation.

    Great food delivered with excellent service. Startign with cocktails and the "Topper" - Barclay Prime's answer to a bread roll or biscuit...which is really a Yorkshire Pudding...still very good though! My wife and I shared excellent Californian Caviar, following that with wonderful Wagyu beef, complete with certificates of provenance....The local mushrooms and the home made "Tater Tots" providing the support, along with a wine that had everything we could possibly want. A special evening all told.

    Learned my lesson you go to a steakhouse you get steak! Tried the chicken not saying it was bad but should have gotten the steak! Service was amazing.

    Table was 45 minutes late, and we missed part of our show. Birthday dinner that wasn’t mentioned at all while at the table. Food was great but underwhelming service for a high end place. Somehow multiple groups of 4 were seated before us while we were there for 30 minutes.

    This place was amazing. I travel a lot and always go to the "best steak on the city". This is one of the 30% that actually delivered. Hats off to my server as well. Very polite. Knows what dishes go with what drinks. Even gave me a BDay 🍨

    This will be the go to restaurant when I want to take my wife out on a date. Enjoyed everything and didn't regret spending the money.

    I’ve dined at many steakhouses over the years. This was a celebration meal and I thought I’d blow it out - go to the famous Barclay Prime and not worry about $$$. We had scallops and shrimp for appetizers. Decent. Scallops standard for a higher end restaurant and the shrimp had good flavor. For entree I had Japanese Kobe wagyo. It was very disappointing- yes this meat is highly marbled with fat so you’re looking for that claimed “buttery” taste experience. Frankly, It just tased like a cube of fat and I had to take pieces out of my mouth that were too gristly to chew. For $210? I would avoid this. Certainly not worth the premium paid. My wife had the Dover sole, which was very oily and chewy. Sides - ok. Creamed spinach and gratin potatoes - standard for any steakhouse, mushrooms - rather tough - not good. Overall disappointing for the premium price paid.

    I had never had a bad meal at Barclay Prime until last night. The Sea Bass was dry, tasteless and overcooked. The “least fancy” filet mignons were stringy and chewy. The lobster bisque was mediocre at best and the shrimp cocktail provided limp and obviously frozen shrimp. For the price, which is outrageous but you know that going in, Barclay Prime is no longer worth it for me.

    The food was delicious. I enjoyed the truffle whip mashed potatoes and the creamed spinach. The 8oz steak was cooked to perfection. The drinks were amazing, not too strong or too sweet. The ambience was great, very intimate seating in an open area. Will definitely revisit

    By far one of the very best meals we have ever had. The restaurant atmosphere is lovely and beautiful, the service impeccable, and the food exquisite. We have already talked about going back, and we live three hours away! A must try while in Philly!
