Barbuzzo est un restaurant et bar méditerranéen situé dans le quartier branché de Midtown Village au centre-ville. On y sert des petits plats à partager. Muni d'un four à bois pour les pizzas et la cuisson lente, le Barbuzzo propose un menu sur lequel figure des plats rustiques tels que la pieuvre grillée avec des pommes de terre, des poivrons grillés avec soppressata, des raviolis de panais avec du canard mijoté et des poires rôties et la « Pizza Uovo » garnie de feuilles de choux de Bruxelles, de jambon guanciale et d'un œuf fermier à la truffe. Great service and excellent food which was a good value. My only complaints were that it was pretty warm inside the restaurant and the seating was a bit uncomfortable, which made us want to finish up and get out of there as quickly as possible. In addition, it was pretty loud and difficult to talk among our table without shouting at each other over the noise.

Delicious food, great bartender and server. The host was a sassy and rude when her tried to seat us at a table we could barely squeezed into and we asked a table with a bit more privacy. Otherwise, a great dining experience!

The service was friendly -and prompt without being pushy. The vibe was lively and reminded me of Italian restaurants in Melbourne. Well done Barbuzzo - a great night out that didn’t break the bank.

This was indeed a great place. We had really good food, and a great time. It was pretty loud, and it’s not a very big place. Our waiter was not very friendly. He kept taking away our menus. I never understand why business would want to take away the one thing that would allow them to sell me more stuff. I even tried to keep it and he just kept taking it. But other than that, it was a really good experience. We would definitely go back. We were happy we went there.

I’ve been to Barbuzzo for lunch and found it to be very good. We decided to go to dinner there and made reservations. We arrived a bit early but a table has just opened. So great start. Grant it was a nice April night. The place was packed. So packed you truly couldn’t hear anyone. It made for a complicated catch up with family. The drinks were very good and creative. The ricotta app was very good and arrived within minutes of ordering. The food came out separately— I know this is a “restaurant thing”. But seriously, most people prefer to eat together and not spend time watching their friend eat. I wish Barbuzzo took a look at their practice of bringing food at their convenience and more for the enjoyment of their guest. But once everything came out, it was good— two pizzas, a beer salad and branzino. All foods were prepared very well. But got to say the formented root veggies with the seafood proved an off-putting flavor to an otherwise great piece of fish. In some ways the meal felt like we were speed dating dinner. We sat down. Had a cocktail, app, our dinners and got the check in under 50 minutes. Far too rushed, but given the extreme noise in the place, we were ok with hitting another spot for a nightcap.

This is by far one of the best (if not the best) small Italian restaurant. Their pizza, bread, meatballs and all other dishes and small plates are outstanding. 5 stars and will return.

Really cool restaurant. Small space, our table felt a little cramped at times. My boyfriend and I shared the arancini, meatballs, octopus and steak - plenty of food for the two of us, and the steak was outstanding. Would recommend trying to octopus, it was very similar to grilled chicken. Great service, more than willing to explain the menu in detail for us.

As always, food and service was excellent. I’m all about city living but Barbuzzo is just too jammed in. If you are a deuce and inside, you cannot not be part of your neighbors conversation. It does impact the experience.

Busy little restaurant with a good vibe. Our server was spot on, as was the food. Everything we ate was great, but the whipped ricotta and the duck cassolette were just remarkable. Also, the pricing was very reasonable for the quality.

We shared the pear salad, meat balls 2very large ones and a margarita pizza we took home most of it. Ended with the Salted Caramel dessert which was excellent I had a Pinot noir which was soft and tasty my husband had a alcohol free beer Food came quickly and waiter asked how each course was. The dining room was packed for an early Sunday night date. The dining room was s very very tight so know that. Thought it was a good value for the money

The food was amazing! And service was fantastic. Little bit of a tight squeeze inside- kinda felt like I was on a double date with strangers because we were sitting so close to them. But other than that, it was awesome! High energy inside! We will definitely be going back

A great meal, will definitely go again. Charred broccoli appetizer and beet/kale salad were both delicious as were the lobster pappardelle and the grilled octopus. Our server was attentive and topped off our water glasses frequently. Save room for dessert, the two we shared were an outstanding finish to a memorable meal.

Food was fantastic and some of the best we’ve had in Philadelphia. Everything was great except for a comment made by the host when we came inside to let them know we had arrived. It was very cold and apparently we were supposed to wait behind the curtain, but there was no signage or indication. It threw off the experience a bit, but was quickly made up for with the great food and service we experienced afterwards.

Hostess was accomodating, Waiter was FABULOUS, explained all, kind, attentive Food was scrumptious, pate, sausages all great. House Pasta light +flavorful. Octopus was charred perfectly, tender.. Bundino was yummy too Consistently delicious after many years of being a cool fab spot on 13th stree!
