Business dinner while in town for a conference. Good food and the service was stellar. The roasted halibut was perfect - crispy skin well seasoned, with moist meaty flesh. Perfect. The wine selection was a little small -surprising given we are so close to wine country. But the available wines were all quality. All in all a great dinner. Definitely a “come back”

First time for us. What a treat. We had early reservations on Saturday night. I had the Halibut, my wife had Linguine with Clams and our son had the breaded Chicken breast. The presentations were perfect and they all were delicious! It was cozy, friendly. We know where to go next time we visit Sacramento.

Zinfandel Grill has always been one of our favorite go-to restaurants. Excellent food, reliable, consistent and attentive service. Everywhere has become much more expensive and Zinfandel Grill is no exception but, ZG continues to provide excellent value and a nice consistent, experience.

The menu is excellent, fabulous calamari and appetizers and several salad choices. I was there 2 friends and we all had a delicious cocktail, calamari, main courses and shared a dessert. Have been going there for decades and each chef puts their signature on the dishes offered.

We always enjoy this restaurant. The service is quick, organized and very friendly. The menu is appropriately limited and offers broad choices that everyone can enjoy. They bring the food out of the kitchen hot and fresh. It is a solid choice for a nice night out.

We have dined at the Zinfandel Grill on many occasions and for many years. The food is always good, although I do wish that they would bring back the Calzone onto the menu. It has been gone for far too many years, and it was one of my favorite meals. Otherwise nothing but good things to say about the food and excellent service.

The halibut entree we ordered was absolutely perfectly done and was very delicious. The potatoes and asparagus perfectly complemented the halibut. Also, the Caesar salads we ordered were excellent. Our waiter was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and the servers were very friendly and attentive to our needs as we were dining. The whole experience at Zinfandel Grille was the very best, as always!

We had a wonderful server and a wonderful meal. We try to come when it’s early evening,6:30, so that the noise level isn’t too high. This was the perfect time. Everything we ate was done to perfection. I asked for decaf coffee after and was given a fresh cup! Lovely as always!

There was so much gristle in the NY steak it couldn’t be cut we and we had to send it back but the next one wasn’t any better. We didn’t eat it. The waiter was not very attentive and didn’t check on us but once.

I had the fettuccine which was very good. The chocolate chip gelato was amazingly delicious! Our server was ver attentive and nice. Thanks got a lovely evening!

Great dinner with excellent service. Wife started with the field green salad, but had the goat cheese replaced with Toma cheese. She loved the salad. We both had pasta dishes. Her’s, pasta with shrimp. They were generous with the shrimps. I had the carbonara. It was delicious. The pasta was fresh made. Coffee and dessert to end the dinner. I will say the dinner was great and the service was the best. You gotta try this place.

The overall ambiance needs an overhaul. The food for the price was marginal and the dinner and drink menu was lacking creativity. The restaurant is mixed with a bar and tv’s facing both areas. The atmosphere was like being in a sports bar. All of that aside, the service was outstanding.

Di Stefano Burrata and charcuterie boards which were a delightful way to begin the meal. The Halibut and Grilled Salmon as entrées were absolutely delicious, along with Risotto Verde. Such a great dining experience with friends and support our neighborhood gem. Here's to many more enjoyable evenings like this one!

What a great experience. You must try. The food is great, the service was excellent, they were very attentive to our group and did not mind that we sat and visited after our meal!!! I give this a 10 out of 10!!!

Fantastic. We’ve been before and always love it, but tonight we had the best server, with Don, and the entire staff, keeping our water glasses full, etc. and our food outstanding I had the Halibut special. it all was delivered so hot and fresh. excellent dinner thank you!

This older local spot has gone down hill. Could use a remodel. Tired and not that great. Pizza tasted like tomato paste was used for the Margarita. The salad was okay. Way over dressed and vinegar forward. Bread basket was tasty. The spinach salad was spinach bacon and beets—weird combo.

Food is mediocre- nothing special. Got the Carbonara and it has crunchy, fatty pieces of thick cut bacon - and the sauce was thick and eggy tasting. Pizza was ok, crust did not have much taste. Farmhouse salad was good and service was very good.

Our server was an absolute sweetheart, she was the highlight of the evening! We had the burrata appetizer which didn’t come with enough bread and what we did get was as hard as a rock. The entire table got the same entree, the carbonara, and it was good but not great. We all got sick later that night, so take that how you will. It won’t deter me from going back, but I’ll definitely try something completely different. It seems a bit pricey for what it ultimately is.

Wait staff was badly inattentive. The place was probably 10% full yet cocktails were very slow, which means it wasn’t the bar backed up. Ordered wine after entrees but showed up before appetizers and cocktails. Never came back to pour wine. Had to do it ourselves when food arrived by runner. Never once did the waiter pour a drop of wine. Appetizer plates left on the table and we had to set them aside to make room for the entrees. Calamari appetizer listed chickpeas were in it, but it was 50% chickpeas and (maybe) broken bits of squid. My date had the short ribs. She seemed to like them. Pork chop was so salty the much touted “chutney” could barely be detected in a mixed bite. Date tasted and comment was “that’s really salty.” Brussels sprouts on the side were good. Slightly charred and crispy, perfect. High point of the meal. Sad when the high point of the meal is the veggie side on your entree. Deduct overpriced but not horribly overpriced La Crema Pinot Noir, still hit over $200 with no dessert or coffee. At that price I can get a rave review worthy dinner in San Francisco. Sad the Sacramento locals promise the same thing at the same price but serve up nothing close at the same price. Avoid.
