Yopparai is a well-loved Japanese restaurant and sake bar known for a wide variety of sake paired with traditional Japanese cuisine. We serve traditional Japanese favorites like sashimi, sushi and grilled meat/fish, while also offering signature dishes like homemade tofu, oden, and Japanese-style hot pot. All of our dishes are homemade using a combination of fresh local ingredients and fish and meat sourced from Japan. We offer unique seating in intimate booths on Japanese tatami mats, as well as counter seating in front of our sushi chefs.

If you're celebrating a special occasion, please consider our limited-availability chef's omakase menu. The omakase experience may be booked in advance through Open Table or by calling the restaurant.

Previously offered only at our sister restaurant, Yopparai Ronin, we are now offering a limited availability seasonal omakase menu of Chef Miura's selected dishes! Enjoy 6 courses of traditional Japanese cuisine including appetizers, sashimi and sushi, grilled and steamed dishes, ending with a traditional Japanese dessert. Some dietary restrictions can be accommodated; please note restrictions in your reservation or call the restaurant for details. Pricing ranges from $110-130 per guest (excluding tax and gratuity); reservations require a non-refundable deposit of $25 per guest. Omakase reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. For same day reservations, please call the restaurant to check availability.

Incredible meal with high quality ingredients. Great atmosphere and excellent drinks list. Celebrated a milestone birthday with this excellent restaurant experience. Also had gluten free soy sauce which is a huge bonus for someone with a gluten allergy!

Honest review from Asian foodie. We came here on a chill Saturday evening. We’ve been looking forward to come here all week, because we were craving good Japanese food. Food was 6/10. We had higher expectations given the price range, and nothing was surprisingly delicious. Service was great! No complaints there. Staff was friendly. We probably wont come back again.

ery disappointing. Mediocre food served too quickly. Service efficient but distant and soulless. Good music, but the fume hood pretty much obscures it.

The ambiance was great, a good spot for a chill night with friends and getting small dishes to stay and chat for a while. The “hot pot” was more of a photo worthy experience than what you would traditionally think it is! While being really pretty, the portions are very small for a dinner and higher priced for the size than we expected.

We had the hot pot pork belly, gindara, and karaage. The food was not flavorful. We were surprised especially with the reviews this place has received.

Portions are definitely small, but everything was SO GOOD. We ordered something from every section of the menu and it’s hard to pick a favorite, but one highlight was the chawanmushi appetizer. The place ain’t cheap but for the quality, it’s totally worth the money. That said, you’ll probably still have room for a $1 slice after leaving.
