The Wind & Sea Restaurant is located on the water in the Dana Point Harbor. With water on three sides, every table has a spectacular view.
We serve fresh fish selections daily as well as Alaskan King Crab Legs, lobster tail, shrimp, steaks, pasta, and vegetarian dishes.

Monday through Friday (not available Holidays and Special occasions) we have Hawaiian Happy Hour from 4:00 to 7:00 featuring our world famous Mai Tai's as well as draft beer, wine and food specials. Live entertainment on Friday and Saturday, as well as plasma and big screen TV's, keep the lounge exciting at all times.

The waterfront open-air patio serves the full menu and is heated at night, perfect for an order of nachos and a margarita or a full dinner under the stars. Private banquet facilities accommodate 20 to 75.

I have been to this restaurant many times. Most of the time I am thrilled, but this most recent visit was a bit of a disappointment. While our server, Holly, was professional and personable, we did receive our food cool. It quickly became cold, which is never a good look for fish and chips. The parking was a nightmare with three of the four of us having to park in a distant lot. We're all over 60 so, while the walk was scenic, it was also quite far.

As long time Dana Point locals, we always enjoy the Wind & Sea restaurant. It was my mother's 94th birthday yesterday and she loved her dinner party there. There were seven of us and we all loved our meals. We had seared ahi, veggie burgers, fried calamari steak, and wedge salad w/ bleu cheese and bacon. All an A+++ Our server was the best and even brought my mother a birthday ice cream pie wedge with a candle! Looking forward to our next visit for another enjoyable meal. Watching the sea lions from the window is an entertaining plus!

The ambience is always a hit, never complain about our view. We had a very nice table for Mother’s Day overlooking the harbor. Probably the only complaint is they had changed the menu quite a bit so a lot of the staple dishes that I believe were quite popular back then they no longer have. I do understand that you have to keep the menu fresh, but with that, I didn’t find a lot of options on the menu as in before. The prices a bit steep, but I believe this has to do with the location and the ambience. Overall wind is still a definite, good choice.

Great views in the restaurant. The food quality was good, but a little pricey. The service was good. We had a reservation but due to horrendous traffic, we were more than an hour late, but they were able to accomodate us. Parking is currently an issue due to the Harbor Renovation project, reducing the available parking space significantly.

Great views and ambience at Wind & Sea. We took out of town guests to show off the view for dinner. Fresh fish was delicious with some fun and different preparations. The restaurant has never disappointed me.

Our server was absolutely fabulous! She was very knowledgeable and caring. Food was delicious, we couldn’t all finish our meals, we were too stuffed!

I can’t begin to thank the manager Tyler enough for his kindness. What an amazing guy and manager. He over heard me say I just had a knee replacement surgery and was kind enough to get me a bag of ice for my knee. This has always been one of our favorite spots because the food and service has always been wonderful. Thank you so much Tyler for making my first dinner out in a while so much more comfortable!!! The fish and chips is delicious by the way!

We began the evening with clam chowder and seafood bisque. The bisque was fair at best, the chowder terrible. It was mainly broth with too much thickener and not enough clams or potatoes. When my wife told the waiter that her uneaten chowder was poor he took it away without comment, let alone an offer to replace it with another item. This is the same waiter who walked past our table nearly a dozen times without asking if we wanted water. The same waiter who never offered to refill our wine glasses. Our entrees, halibut and scallops were not bad, not great. In summary, this was a waste of entirely too much money.

We sat at our table for about 10 minutes and was never served. After about 8 minutes I asked the hostess to find someone to wait on us. After another 2-3 minutes, while the hostess watched us, we walked out. No, the restaurant was not full and the had plenty of waitstaff.

The server was rude. He came by and asked what we'd like to drink and looked at my husband first. No problem but after my husband said he needed a few minutes I wasn't even acknowledged and he left. I got the wrong food and the server said,"Sorry, I forgot." The place was empty and he maybe had 2 tables. Poor excuse. He never refilled our water either. Another server came by after he waited on his own table and said, "Would you like more water?" We honestly have not had such rude behavior from a waiter. He clearly wasn't interested in working that night.

terrific servers, very experienced and friendly in a beautiful locale, watching the seals, frolic and the yachts go by. Fish was nice and fresh.

The service and food mediocre. We were disappointed with Seafood Cobb salad and Crusted Ahi. Also, the table had bread & butter plates, but no rolls or bread were provided? The view is nice.

The food was good. We sat inside in the evening so we didn’t get a chance to take in the nice view of the harbor as it was dark. We were surprised that the decor inside the restaurant was dated.

We took our best friends to a late lunch for their anniversary. We had a wonderful server, Denise, and fabulous meals along with killer Mai Tais! Dessert was another hit! Loved the ambiance and enjoyed watching a storm roll in!

Great service from Rex, food was a bit pricey - also unfortunately witnessed a possible abduction from two drunk guests that led to entire sections stepping in to provide assistance. Both guests left in their own cars without followup from the restaurant staff.

We had a delightful lunch looking out on the harbor. The food was wonderful- we all enjoyed our dishes. It was peaceful on the restaurant so we were able to visit. Our server was very helpful and friendly. We had a great experience.

Prices have been increased way beyond ‘inflation’. Shame on them! We have eaten there often over the past 12 years, but will probably not go back. Extremely noisy in main dining room. Service by Sarah was excellent.

Everything was very nice. I’d definitely go back. We went for my mom’s 80th bday and she loved it. They gave her a huge piece of ice cream pie. Very nice of them.
