We had a 6:45 reservation and they put us in a really nice quiet room. It was a nice round table and we call sit around talk. The issue was the service. I truly believe the kitchen forgot to put In our order. It was an extremely long wait. They apologized, used the excuse that it was a busy night with Mother’s Day. We have been to dinner many times and you are always prepared. I understand waiting a little bit. This was excessive. Yes they comped our appetizers.

We were in the area for the Marriott Theatre and chose to dine at Wildfire, one of our favorite restaurants. This visit was excellent as in the past. My Prime Rib was wonderful. My wife had the filler medallion trio and enjoyed. My mom had the scallops and they were delicious as well. Our server was Jason and he is fantastic!

The last few times I have been to Wildfire in Lincolnshire, the steaks have been significantly overdone (well instead of medium, and medium well instead of medium rare). The prices have gone up a lot, and they add a 3% surcharge to the bill. If they want to raise the prices into the stratosphere, then they should be transparent about it and print the real prices on the menu. They did bring back the filet trios and the spinach salad that disappeared during COVID, but they aren't the same as they used to be - the filet trios are much thinner than before, and the spinach salad is basically just spinach with a dressing vs the previous version with lots of shredded radish and egg and other things. The people clearing the tables and filling waters were hustling, but our main waitress didn't seem to care if the food was good or not. She did offer to have the steaks redone, but once we said we didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for replacements, there was no further acknowledgement of the problem - not even an "I'm sorry". In years past, if something wasn't right, a manager would have come to the table. The bright spot of the evening was that the pies for dessert were very good. I don't know whether things have changed across the entire chain, or if it is just the Lincolnshire location, but I feel like they are just riding their reputation while hoping that no one will notice that neither the food nor the service are worth the higher prices.

Noise level was high due to the room we were in. Food was ok, medallions were all well done. Service was awesome. Thought it was pricey for what we received. Better off spending the money on a regular meal there.

1. The food was very average. 2. The Sangria's were also very average, but the first one that was given at the door was very watered down as it was sitting with ice on the table and that was bad. They should all be poored as you walk in or at the table like the rest were. 3. It is not in the description that we are sharing a table with strangers if we do not have a big enough party. I came with my kids wanting to socialize with them only. The 3 people we were seated with were well, lets say it was like a bad date and we had to be polite. 4. The service was like a diner atmospher. They came and brought the plates and cleared the plates, there were no questions, no one came around to see if everyone was doing well or if the meal was satisfactory. They did refil the glasses of sangria's and waters with pitchers but they did not have the usual friendly vibe that you get when you go to dinner there. This is something I will never do again and will discourage others from doing it as well. We like Wildfire and will go back to the restaurant but this tasters option is not an option!
