Welcome to our classroom! Waterleaf, located in College of DuPage’s Culinary & Hospitality Center, is a dining experience that offers real-life training to Culinary, Baking & Pastry Arts, and Hospitality students. Patrons will enjoy menus utilizing fresh regional and seasonal ingredients prepared by Culinary & Pastry students as well as attentive service from our student servers.
Limited seating is available at each event and reservations are required. Reservations may be made until an event is sold out. For parties of 6 or more, please call us directly at 630-942-2284.

Spring 2024 Vegetarian menu was fantastic! A couple of minor service hiccups, but that's to be expected at a student-staffed restaurant. I will most definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful “southern-style” lunch at Waterleaf with 2 of our good friends. We all very much enjoyed the experience. Our waitress was sweet and very accommodating throughout our lunch. The food selections were wonderful, even though the crawfish soup was a tad too spicy for my taste. But, everything was great. And, as we have experienced before, the desserts we an extra special treat. We are so very fortunate to have Waterleaf in our local community and know that we can always count on having a wonderful experience while helping the culinary studies students achieve their goals and learn their trade.

Wonderful! The food was delicious and the service was authentic, pleasant and made us feel special. Thank you so much for accommodating our baby girl!!

What a hidden gem! We went with friends that had never been there and they were amazed by the entire experience. Far more than they expected. Said they didn’t expect it to be so “fancy” and upscale. Everything was perfect!

We knew going in that these are students and service was a little slow. Didn’t matter to us. Food was very good. Was nice to have a three course meal for lunch at a very nice price.

it is always a pleasure to dine at Waterleaf. everyone is super friendly, the ambience is great with a beautiful view of the pond and the food is creative delicious and very well presented.

I've been to one of their monthly themed dinners. The food is always fancy, exquisite and delicious. I have to say though this past evening the courses/service was spread out too far. After being seated it was almost 12-15 minutes before a server came to our table to ask about drinks, we saw others being served who sat after us. After ordering drinks it took awhile to bring them to us. There was only 2 of us. The courses were delicious (soup, salad, fish entree, poultry entree, dessert). However after we completed one course, it would be like 15-20 minutes for the next course to come. Again others appeared to be getting served quicker. I still would go back, the food was wonderful...and I'll admit there was more time for me and my mom to talk but we both a few times asked ourselves when the food was coming.

It’s such a beautiful setting at The Waterleaf at the College of DuPage Culinary & Hospitality Center. From the bread through the salad, the entree & ending w/ dessert everything is done w/care & is tasty. The service is paced so as not to hurry the diners. But if something is needed the staff is right there to help. It’s obvious that the students want to optimize the dining experience. I regret not being able to go more often to try the other entree or salad. Everything is done well. A great place to dine.
