Great pastas and friendly staff but they consistently overbook. Had a 7:30 reservation and was seated at 8:20. If this is your main plan for the night then great. Food is excellent and priced fairly. but be careful if you have a show or event planned afterwards.

Got seated 35 minutes after our reservation time (not fantastic) and placed in the bar under a speaker. When mentioned the volume of the music from the speaker the hostess only said “don’t worry, they play great music.”. Suggest asking for main dining if you want to speak to your table mates. Otherwise food was very good.

I seldom leave a review, but feel compelled to because we had a great experience at Vinoteca di Monica for Mother's Day brunch. The server was very attentive. Even though it was very busy with a number of larger parties, the food came out promptly and was excellent. One member of our party commented that the carbonara was the best he's every had, and he's had it many times. My wife raved about the fritta di aragosta e ricotta (lobster, ricotta, and leek omelet).

Vinoteca di Monica is consistently excellent, and almost a surprise for brunch, given that it is far better known as a place for dinner. We got two frittatas, both wonderful (I can give a personal two thumbs up for the lobster variant, although a bit pricey at $32), and a chicken sandwich (who knew that Monica's makes such good french fries?). We went for Mother's Day, but I could easily imagine going back anytime they are open for an early meal!

We were seated right away, and they even gave us a choice of a couple table locations. It is cozy but great, doesn't feel too tight. Our server was fabulous, and made some recommendations to narrow down our choices as everything sounded so good. The pasta was out of this world, the fresh homemade pasta made all the difference. Both of our dishes were perfectly balanced, very flavorful, but not overly saucy or heavy...just right. Extensive wine menu as well with plenty to choose from at all price points. I would highly recommend Vinoteca di Monica to anyone looking for an amazing Italian meal in the North End.
