Parties & Groups Vinny Vanucchi’s group dinners are reminiscent of our large Italian family get togethers--where everyone gathered around the table for a glass of vino, great conversation, and no one went away hungry. Just choose from one of 6 menu plan options, pick your entrees, and leave the rest to us. We'll cook up Italian favorites and serve your meal family-style on large platters meant for you and your guests to share and pass around the table. All entrees are served with baskets of Vinny's piping hot garlic bread; bowls of salad tossed in our sweet Vinny's Italian Vinaigrette House Dressing; and dishes of penne pasta with our homemade marinara sauce. Nice place. Similarities with Galena location. Prom night - very busy. Lots of loud teens. Wait staff was excellent. Sausage sandwich was good. Chicken parm was big but average. Garlic bread ruled!!

Our ravioli was delicious! Though there was a charge for splitting an entree that I do not understand (entrees are huge!), we were happy with our meal. I did not give a 5 star for service because I continually had to ask for my water glass to be filled!

Wonderful location in downtown Dubuque... hardest problem was making a choice... three of us... each with different choice... each of us enjoyed our own choice but covetted the others, as well...

The service was excellent and the food was brought quickly. My wife got the seafood fettuccini and enjoyed hers. I got the chicken parmigiana. The breading was bitter, I believe from being overdone. I told the server who substituted with Italian sausage and spaghetti, which was better, but not great. I would highly recommend the Galena location over the one in Dubuque. Considering the menu prices, I feel like there is better value to be had elsewhere.

Sat immediately but waited over 10 minutes for a waitress to even bring water. Chairs were wobbly, room was cold, food was bland and meatballs were warm at best

Very nice place to enjoy an evening with that someone special. Meal was served hot and there was plenty to eat. Took half home. Our dessert was awesome.

Went for Valentines day - Paid a lot of money for what seemed like frozen chicken slices and practically nonexistent prosciutto - and our chocolate cake was still frozen and not easy to eat. Service was great, food was not.

Lovely restaurant with great service. Regular menu items were tasty, fresh and well presented. HOWEVER, the gluten free pasta was not thorouoghly cooked. It was still hard. Sent it back, was reprepared two more times but was well undercoked Not recommended for gluten free menu

Vinny's is amazing! We were running late in traffic and instead of giving our table away, they called using my number from this reservation to check on us. They held our table and we had a great night celebrating my mom's birthday.

After receiving salad and cold garlic bread, waited 40 minutes for two of the four dinners. 5 more minutes for the other two dinners. Which the ravioli was literally cold and i had maybe one cup of pasta in a $30 dollar entree. Then, while eating… staff was dragging tables and chairs to rearrange the seating. This went on for ten minutes.

Vinny's is an experience that should be enjoyed by all. The atmosphere, service, garlic bread, salad and most of our dishes were superb! We'd encourage the pizza maker to add more cheese and let the crust bake longer. Prices have gone up substantially since our last visit, but if this is needed to be sure they stay open ~ then we'll pay it!

We were a party of six and asked for a table away from the crowd. We had such a table and we’re able to have wonderful conversations as the noise in our seating area was quite low. Their menu tells you they win’s do separate checks but that would be nice if they changed that rule.

First time here and definitely would come back to try other entrees. My wife’s seafood pasta was outstanding and my pizza was crispy and tasty. The drinks were reasonably priced. Looking forward to coming back.

The waitress forgot to return with a salad plate, had to ask the buss person for a plate. I ordered the Veal Marsala with Pasta. The Veal was tough eat a bit overcooked. My guest and I wanted desert, but the waitress was quick to arrive with the check. The salad and drinks were good.

So we love the food and atmosphere of Vinny’s but we had a reservation and the restaurant was not busy and we were placed in a upstairs room so could not experience any of the atmosphere I could see if the place was overcrowded but it was very open on the main floor at least our waitress was extremely nice and we were the only ones up there I feel like I had an contiguous illness

Great food in this restaurant located in the historic district of Dubuque near the River Museum and Hotel Julien. Able to walk from the hotel to the restaurant easily. Service was great and food tasted delicious and was quickly served.

Parties & Groups Vinny Vanucchi’s group dinners are reminiscent of our large Italian family get togethers--where everyone gathered around the table for a glass of vino, great conversation, and no one went away hungry. Just choose from one of 6 menu plan options, pick your entrees, and leave the rest to us. We'll cook up Italian favorites and serve your meal family-style on large platters meant for you and your guests to share and pass around the table. All entrees are served with baskets of Vinny's piping hot garlic bread; bowls of salad tossed in our sweet Vinny's Italian Vinaigrette House Dressing; and dishes of penne pasta with our homemade marinara sauce. Complete your Italian feast with appetizer and dessert selections available individually or as combination platters.
