Love the restaurant. Food was great, service very good, and low noise level. I’ve been there many times and will definitely be back again.

Overrated. Service was below average, food was good, but the place was extremely loud and the “patio” was nothing more than sidewalk seating with a cover over it. I don’t understand the high ratings here. Proximity to Dorothy Chandler and DIsney Music Center is fantastic, but there has to be better options nearby.

I’ve been to Vespaio several times over the years and always had an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was disappointing. When I cut into the edge of the pork chop that I’d ordered, it appeared undercooked. A further cut through revealed that it was nearly raw in the center, not a safe way to eat pork. I alerted the waiter who snatched up the plate and headed off to the kitchen. A few minutes later, the exact same pork chop with the two cuts that I’d made showed up back on the table, now fully cooked…and a bit dry and tough. This is what I would have expected at a casual chain restaurant, not at an expensive, chef-driven, fine dining establishment. The waiter clearly saw the look of dissatisfaction on my face, but not wanting to make a fuss, I said everything was fine. During the rest of the dinner, we were never asked if we wanted a second drink and the bus person stopped coming by to refill our water glasses. Try eating a tough, dry pork chop without anything to wash it down. The waiter did come back to ask about dessert and drop off the check, which had the full charge for the pork chop on it. The manager also came by, but only to pick up my credit card. She never said a word about the pork chop or asked if we enjoyed our meal. The other food items were good, but we’re not likely to return anytime soon.

We love this place. They need to tidy up the retail shelves. But overall things were clean. Beautiful presentation and we love the server we had. It’s our second time with him and he’s wonderful. Assistant waiters were great with water service and cleanup.

Vespaio is a favorite and never disappoints. We go often and have come to know many of the staff who are friendly, warm and very attentive. The food is absolutely superb and the wine list incredibly varied.

The pastas on special were excellent. The steak undercooked and tough. Service was slow. Both dinners and cocktails were way overpriced. We were seated in a part of the restaurant next to a large group of 50 or so who were having a party, so it was very noisy. This is our third time here, but I don’t think we’ll be back.

The food was really good, and the service was impeccable. The seats were soft and padded, and the drinks were yummy and heavy. I had a great time.
