I went there for Mother’s Day with my son. The table was ready for us upon arrival, the staff very pleasant and our waitress was really on it. The food as always (this was my third visit) was terrific.

Love the surroundings! Service was just ok. Not great not bad. Really miss the Cobb Salad. It’s such a beautiful place you don’t mind the disappointment;)

The day was chillier & breezier than expected, but we had a dog with us, so needed to sit outside. Staff accommodated us with heaters & we enjoyed my friend’s birthday lunch very comfortably! Veranda has become our dependable go-to over the years. The hostess remembers us & is always so gracious. Especially at this time when courtesy, competent staff & customer service is often discounted, we can always depend on Veranda. PS the dog gives 2 paws up to the skirt steak sandwich! Thanks!

We love the Veranda restaurant. The food is excellent, the staff is very friendly, the view of the golf course is very relaxing, and the live music is enjoyable.

We had a wonderful Sunday brunch with great friends and mentors. Great place for that lazy Sunday morning. Just watch out, there was an unexpected $10 surcharge. I hate these new surcharges, just add it into the price, I hate the surprises at the end.

Always a wonderful experience. Staff is incredibly nice and accommodating, food’s delicious, ambiance is nice. Have recommended it to friends and family who have visited and stayed at the resort - all enjoy and came back to us with raves.

The Veranda is a beautiful place to have breakfast or lunch. From the patio seating there is a gorgeous view of the surrounding landscape and golf course. Servers were helpful and attentive. The food was very good and not overly expensive. I would go there again with friends or family. It is a relaxing experience.

Aside from the waiter checking in; the bussers there were 2 that kept coming multiple times to ask to clear out plates.(perhaps they didn’t communicate within each other who is working the table) This was within the time we receive our plates at 7:18pm till 8:02pm. We needed time to enjoy the meals and this took away from the ambiance. Felt rushed. It seemed that clearing the table within the hour is a priority and a Veranda standard. Veranda will not be on list of options for a nice evening dining with family.

Best shrimp I’ve ever eaten. Always consistent. Service is phenomenal. Lewis is incredible and I can’t say enough good things about him. I eat out regularly and never had a better waiter than Lewis !

Excellent service from Jennifer. Love the tomato bisque and my sister really enjoyed her huge chicken chibatta sandwich. We were treated to a delicious chocolate birthday dessert.

This place has such wonderful ambience in the daytime as well as the night. Fireplaces and heaters all illuminate the patio at night and makes it look wonderful. In the daytime, it’s a beautiful view of the golf course. The food was absolutely excellent. We had a variety of things and everything was delicious. The Rancho Bernardo Inn in general has such a great vibe and verandas fireside lounge is just one of the perks!

I love coming here but...let's chat about the real deal. First, the bottle corkage fee has hit a ridiculous amount of $35.00. As locals, that is going to drive us away. Note: you are being charged a surcharge of 4.95 percent on your meal. Of course, a tip is expected on top of that! You won't find your meal to be one you will take home in a box because the dishes are smaller portions with a healthy price tag. The bolognese dish offers a splash of sauce topping a thick pasta. Hefty price for a dish that you can't finish because the proportion is so off. The burger is on point and market salad for the win although again noting that it is a small portion. The salmon added as a protein was a nice portion almost too big for the proportion of the salad. Our server was excellent, from the water refills, answering our questions and overall service with a smile was thumbs up. The music was fantastic, Joe Cardillo is a joy to listen to. He is not there often but when he is might I suggest that you go.

Lovely evening outdoors in a beautiful location! The fare was fresh and flavorful. The service was attentive and patient. There is live music with a singer/guitar player. It was a nice touch. Would be better if he turned down his speaker. Most of us were there to have a meal and conversation with our dinner companions. The music is lovely -- in the background. We weren't there for a concert.

We were seated on the Veranda but wouldn't you know it started to rain. Moved to the inside and had one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Braised short ribs were fantastic. The bread pudding and the cheesecake smore's were amazing. Will be back soon!

We were celebrating Valentine’s Day and my birthday. The restaurant notified us ahead of time that they were having technical difficulties and the menu would be limited. We appreciated the heads up and went ahead with the reservation. We enjoyed all aspects of the restaurant .. food, service, open air patio. They even noted that it was my birthday. We will be back.

A beautiful peaceful setting. The service was excellent. No vegan food. Due to the amount of people changing to Plant food it is important to add items to the menu to attract more customers

Wonderful brunch menu in a gorgeous outdoor surrounding. We were a party of five seated with views of the golf course. Service was stellar and food was very good.

Beautiful place for dinner outside. Unfortunately two of us ordered pasta and it was so over cooked it was soft and pasty tasting. They did credit us for one meal as I returned mine as inedible. We have been here many times and this was just an off night.

We hit the trifecta last night at the Veranda. Nicole with a smile as our hostess; Serafin, the consummate server, and Paul a master mixologist. Great evening with great live music!!!

Great service and friendly staff. Enjoyed the champagne brunch for my daughter’s 21st birthday. The view was amazing and they promptly raised and rearranged an umbrella to give us some shade. The food was excellent too! They brought her a very lovely complimentary cupcake with caramel & chocolate sauces and fresh berries for her birthday. We love this place!

We had a delightful lunch today at your restaurant. The hostess was friendly and wished me a happy birthday as soon as we arrived. The Brussel sprouts with whipped goat cheese was an amazing appetizer. Our whole party loved their meals. I had the salmon salad, the fish was prepared perfectly, the berries were bright and juicy. My husband had the steak sandwich, bread was grilled to perfection as was the steak, the fries on his plate and our friends were truly amazing. The chicken sandwich was tender and delicious. The Buddha Bowl had perfectly ripe persimmon pieces that were a real treat. Our server then brought 4 spoons and an incredible chocolate dessert to share. What an unexpected delight! Thank you, we’ll be back.
