The food and service at Umi were absolutely outstanding while the restaurant is so beautiful. There were two young men who ensured our waters were consistently refilled, used dishes were cleared, and napkins promptly folded when we left the table to use the bathroom. Our server was polite and patient with us as we were indecisive about what to enjoy off their extensive menu. We had an early reservation, at 5:00, on the enclosed patio and I am glad we did. By 6:30 the patio was full of patrons which make it uncomfortable, being hot and loud. We hope to return in the fall when the weather is cooler and the patio windows should be opened.

Good quality food. Nothing exceptional, but good for the type of venue. The seaweed in the rolls was not prepared properly and were chewy. Also, the fact that they dim the lights further after 9:00 pm makes it impossible to enjoy the food, you can hardly see anything. The place is good for a friend’s night-out but do not expect first class sushi. Overall a good experience.

The food and service were great. However, it is VERY LOUD. It's not loud music, it's the acoustics in the entire restaurant when it's full. We were a party of five and I could only hear the person sitting next to me and the one directly across from me. Expect to lean over and shout to anyone else. It was a relief to go outside after the meal so we could talk normally.

Perfection from start to finish! Celebrated son’s birthday, just 4 of us…went from starters to dessert (which they brought with a candle). All 3 starters were great, we then went to avocado salad…more than just a half avocado and lemon…wasabi vinaigrette packs a delicious punch. On to nigiri…each piece we had was excellent and well presented. Hot dishes-don’t miss the lobster and scallops! Had the waygu beef-so good! Still had a little room in the belly so went back to the starter menu for more crispy rice and tuna, spicy tuna ceviche and nigiri and uni. Then dessert…multi layer crepe cake and green tea ice cream along with special coffee. Worth every penny. Even the bathrooms impress! Service impeccable. I watched servers everywhere from front of house to bussers. Well done Umi! 👏

The place was hip and outstanding, though it was so loud and dark so we cannot see the menu well and cannot have conversations easily. The food was good overall!!
