Had a great time when we were there yesterday. Had the poke bowl and the new loaded potatoes which our server recommended and I'm so glad she did! Can't wait to visit again next time we are in Austin. So happy our friend recommended this restaurant.

The salmon and salad dressing where "meh," and when the waitress asked how everything was and the feedback was politely given by my friend, she sort of just laughed and shrugged it off without offering to do anything about it. The lasagna tasted pretty good, although I did have some digestive issues after eating it throughout the balance of the day, even though I hadn't eaten anything before or after it that day.

Chip from chips and guacamole were stale - took forever to get pita to replace chips. Service was slow, but there were servers walking all around or hanging out.

The food and drinks were awesome as usual. However the service was very bad. Waiting 15 mins just to have someone come to table even after informing the hostess we hadn’t been acknowledged yet. When food arrived, 5 of 6 ppl received meal but server told us she’d accidentally given pizza to wrong table and one person had to wait longer for her food.

I am normally a fan of True Food but tonight was not a great experience. Food was OK but not great. Service left a lot to be desired. Waiter forgot drinks, forgot sides and even forgot to pour water when asked for a refill. Overall prices seemed somewhat higher than my last visit including price for drinks. Something seems different.

Food was good except for some failures. Service was below average. It took almost half an hour to just get our drink order. Then another 30 minutes before the food came out and the burger requested for well done was medium rare at best. But the kitchen was slow for a not so busy night. The bar was ridiculous slow. Drink are a top money maker and it should not take so long to get drinks. Our Walnut Creek California True is 100% better than this location. I would not return for the food, which basically is very good, but the parking is not great, costing another $11 despite a $9 credit from True

The salmon was excellent!!! We sat outside so I really can’t say what the restaurant was like. The service was not that good at all. Our waiter was over whelmed and took forever to get our drinks and food. We even had to get up to pay our bill.

Usually True Food Kitchen comes thru on all levels. Thursday night’s special Spring Menu Preview Event was fraught with several missteps. We had reservations for 6:30 pm & were seated immediately. Started with the 1st course, it was a 30 minute wait for a glass of Cava. The appetizers arrived 15 minutes later. They were very good which was a sign of good things to come. But it was downhill from there.1st of all we never got one of the appetizers posted on the special printed menu. We had no plates to eat them as they were a shared course. The 2nd course we selected 2 offerings. The glass noodles were bland & watery. Then we realized it was missing the chicken, which when asked about we never got. 2 more cocktails were served & while our choices sounded great & interesting on paper, we did not care for them. The final course, the dessert should never have been served. It was a burnt black bitter chocolate cookie that was so hard it took a knife to break off a chunk which exposed the black char. The ice cream flavor was off putting. Neither were edible. We called this to our waitress’s attention, but was never resolved. The final cocktail was so strong that we only had a sip. Overall we left all courses not fully eaten and none of the drinks were finished either. We did call the major issues to the attention of our waitress & the manager. The manager offered me a cookie to take home which I accepted, but when I followed up with her before leaving she said the last batch of cookies were burned so she offered me a substitute. I declined and thanked her. My table of 2 was not the only one having issues. The couples on both sides of us were having issues too. During the meal we learned out of the 14 couples, the last 4 couples were missing a major ingredient in the entree -no chicken. Am surprised the manager did not offer us any compensation or an invite to return. The event turned into a 2 hour dinner by then we were more than ready to leave. Overall disappointing.

Food was amazing as amazing as always! However, our server was maybe having an off day. Our order was incorrect, and we never had follow-up checkins for water or anything else we might need to order. He offered the check before we had a chance to order dessert. We did order dessert but could not order anything else, as he already got us the check. We asked another server to get us coffee and never got any. The place was almost empty, so we weren't sure why we were being rushed out.

Jaelyn gave good service. The tuna lettuce wraps were a hit with my gf. I thought they were a little too ginger heavy, but still good. My sustainable salmon was kind of mid, but the sauce was good. My gf thought her quinoa teriyaki bowl with chicken was incredibly bland. Drinks were tasty!

We were there to celebrate my birthday. They accommodated our seating requests, despite wanting to change seats twice! The menu was so good. It was hard to choose. All of the food was excellent. And I got a free birthday dessert and lots of birthday wishes. There was no wait to be seated. it was a superb experience from start to finish. This is about the fifth time I’ve eaten at True Food kitchen, and have enjoyed it every time.

We went True Kitchen for brunch on a Sunday morning. It was a modern, open concept, chic and very welcoming: All the food was extremely fresh. Cocktails (pink lemonade) was 10/10. I got the quiche plus chicken sausage to add protein and my friend got huevos rancheros, both were exceptional. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Tried the vegan pizza, and it was amazing! Love the shaved butternut squash and almond ricotta. The cocktails are a bit spendy but refreshing. We sat outside, which was lovely. When the train went by, it was quite loud, and we had to stop our conversation. I would definitely dine inside at this location for a quieter experience.

True Food Kitchen always is a good meal. Good, not great. We had problems with last night's bill, in that we were overcharged, and didn't realize this error until we reached home. I am sure TFK wasn't trying to overcharge us, but nevertheless, it took longer than it should have to resolve the issue.

True food has new ownership I would presume. The menu items that have always been consistent are very different and seem to be decreased quality unfortunately.

We had another great time at True Food Kitchen. We love that restaurant. They have several new dishes and they are all delicious. The best treat we had was the new tuna lettuce wraps. Innovative and delicious. Philip took great care of our party and was very helpful with suggestions and prompt attention. Once again, we are invited to return and we will.

Have had good experiences at True Food in the past, but crossing off the list for the future. We had 1pm lunch reservations on Sunday and service was incredibly slow. It took 30 minutes to get our drink orders and another 30+ for food to arrive. Food was so-so. Our server was frazzled and in asking us if we needed anything immediately stopped listening and started moving on to next table, "Do you need anything else" roughly translated to, "you do not need anything and I am leaving now, bye." We had two younger kids and it was just not worth the wait.

Food was tasty. The kitchen was out of smoked salmon, and it was 20 mins before we were told and had to re-order. But they comped the main course, so that was nice.

We are never disappointed by our meals at True Food Kitchen. However, there seems to have been a management change that has impacted the overall experience. The choice of rap music clashes with the wholesome/healthy ambiance of the place. It used to be pristine, and the service was excellent. But it feels a little less well cared for and perhaps understaffed. That said, the food is still great.

Overall I love True Food Kitchen. This day the floor was sticky. Like it wasn’t mopped properly. The food took forever to come out. I had a bad stomachache after eating. Usually this place seems really nice and classy. So it was a disappointment especially since I was bringing out of town business guests….

My husband didn’t want to go…. I had a gift card and wanted to use it with him. Finally, we went yesterday. He ordered the meatloaf and loved, loved, loved it!!! He wants to go back soon. I’m so happy the the v’s on the menu. I’m vegan and it’s hard to eat out sometimes. The waitress was efficient, but not too friendly. Do not post this anywhere.
