Went for Mother's Day brunch. We had wonderful service from the moment we walked in the door until we left. I've never felt more valued as a customer than I did that day. The staff was so attentive and friendly. The kindness and conversation was very genuine. You can tell these people enjoy their job!! Will return again.

Of course the fish and chips are amazing. That's why we go there. But the other menu items are great too. Try the cauliflower appetizer. We had it with the honey garlic sauce. Perfect to share.

Trolls food and service are good. Sunday lunch is a busy period so as a party of 8 would definitely need to book. The sticker shock was the addition of a tip included in the bill of $32 did not see the opportunity of putting our own number in. However this is the go to place in Horseshoe Bay because of Ferry travelling and allows families that maybe be scattered to have a central meeting point. Thank you Trolls for being there so many years.

We live in West Vancouver and have tried Troll's previously and was disappointed then and disappointed again. All the fish and chips dishes were mediocre (we ordered, halibut / cod / haddock and all with a side of oysters. The oysters were overfried - almost burnt. All the dishes came out lukewarm which is an indication they were sitting there for a while. Someone's fish was not cooked thoroughly and had the batter raw inside even though it was almost burnt looking on the outside. The prawn linguine was poorly made and my son-in-law barely ate much of the dish. We have been going to C Lovers for fish and chips but thought we'd give Troll's one more attempt to deliver but unfortunately they fell flat. In addition, the young man who greeted us at the front said - there is no reservation for seven under your name and was not interested in seeing the email confirmation from Open Table and refused to acknowledge that just 5 minutes prior I had called to let and spoke with them to let them know that I was just parking and would be there in a couple of minutes. Too bad I didn't get his name as he definitely should not be greeting customers in such a negative way.

A few mistakes in the order; it was quite busy and we were in the back corner, so less than normal follow up with our group.

Everything about our reservation and meal was handled very well and with care . Our wait person was excellent . The appetizers were delicious . The entrees not so much . They were a bit of a disappointment . For instance the chowder tasted more of its thickener than the items in it .Dessert was delicious . We plan to go back and just have appetizers. Thanks for asking .

Nice, cozy restaurant near the ferry. Easy drive from West Vancouver. Food was solid. Service was excellent and friendly. Would definitely return next time we are in the area.

Thank you for looking after our family, meal was good, service was good. Only one little issue and that was one meal showed up about five minutes after the rest were served, and it came out Luke warm.
