Great bartender and cocktails, great appetizers and table service. The entire staff were very attentive. The food could have been a little bit warmer upon serving but overall everything was very good. We had the meatball with the salad, lobster ravioli appetizer, and wines by the glass. Great spot to catch up with friends.

This was our second visit to this restaurant and it did not disappoint! I always said if the bread that they first serve you is wonderful crunchy, fresh, like just out of the oven Italian bread the meal will be amazing! And it was! Prices are a bit up there but if the meals are good it’s worth it!

We enjoyed our meal very much. Lisa was so very pleasant and helpful. The staff made us feel very welcomed on our 45th wedding anniversary. This was our first time at this location. We did go to the Mansfield location for my birthday last October. Gracie Mille Laura Latina Davis

I have been in hundreds of Italian restaurants around the world. This one, hands down, was one of the very best. From stuffed squash flowers for an appetizer (they’re fiendish difficult to prepare properly,) to an excellently dressed mixed salad (all vegetables extemely fresh,) to a melt in your mouth veal picatta to a Lemoncello bombe dessert that defies description. What’s this restaurant doing in Wakefield, RI? It should be in my home town.

Another amazing experience at Trattoria Wakefield. We chose to go here over all other RI places to celebrate our wedding. Service was impeccable and food delicious. We so appreciated that the owner sent over a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate. We will always consider Trattoria a part of our love story and will be back soon.

We had another wonderful special occasion dining experience at Trattoria Romana Wakefield. Our server, Danielle, was highly attentive, patiently listened to and answered our menu and wine list questions. The manner in which the meal was paced was perfect. Not rushed, not too slow, just perfect! The food was incredible! Always consider the specials. We had an appetizer special and two dinners off of the menu. The management comped us two glasses of prosecco for our special occasion. Every employee was cheerful, not intrusive and contributed to the excellence of our visit.

Enjoyed a delicious authentic Italian dinner. The lasagna was as good as the lasagna we raved about in Venice. Our server was Kelly who provided great service and gave us space to enjoy dinner without us feeling rushed.

As usual, very good food, and great service. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they brought us a complimentary glass of champagne. Nice touch.

We had a 6pm reservation and were seated promptly. Unfortunately we received no attention for at least 10-15 min. when we finally were given water and then bread. Our waitress arrived stating she had suddenly become busy, took our drink order. Specials were stated and after enjoying our drinks . We gave our food order. We thoroughly enjoyed an excellent meal. At some point a delightful hostess came to our table apologizing for the delay in service. She offered a scrumptious strawberry dessert.. We would not hesitate returning to this restaurant known for its excellent meals and adherence to high standards. Thank you.

Elderly woman greeter was sour and surly. The overall ambiance was nice, in a "Federal Hill" type style, but the white linen tablecloths, black outfits attire could not disguise the style over substance. My pasta bolognese tasted like it came from a can, was orange in colour with smatterings of beef and no discernible Italian sausage whatsoever. My husband's lasagna was assembled in the dish, layer by layer of glodgy, stodgy mush with sauce atop. The homemade Italian bread was delightful. Worst was my pasta bowl itself, which clearly hadn't seen a proper dishwasher in decades. The entirety of the pasta bowl rim was literally covered in greasy, disgusting fingerprints, all the way around, every single area. Apparently they have a manual dishwasher whom only washes the centre bits of dishes, as the bowl itself had been handled by far more than just chef and waiter, totally gross.

Always delicious food. Service is excellent . Our waitress last night was super excellent. Wish the Short Rib ravioli was on the specials menu more often. The best!

As always the food and service was outstanding! Great specials. There were 6 of us total and all the dishes were served at the same time. All hot and savory.
