Out waiter, Arian, was amazing! He has worked there for 25 years, so we asked him to pick our beer, wine, appetizer, meals and dessert. They were all phenomenal. They chef came out to greet us as well. Highly recommended!!

Hadn’t been there for several years & it was as good as ever. Perfect, professional service. Menu seems smaller but with so many specials, a larger menu isn’t necessary. The burrata & prosciutto appetizer is excellent & can easily be shared. Coming from Northern NJ, Astoria is a perfect area to meet friends from Long Island.

Visiting from Scottsdale Arizona so this was my first time at this restaurant and boy was it delicious. Everything was prepared wonderfully. So many specials to choose from. Highly recommend. Wine list is a bit limited.

Very nice upscale Italian. Food and service were terrific and prices reasonable. The interior is a little dated/worn. For example, they have beautiful high ceilings but inexplicably it's covered in drop-ceiling type tiles that are sagging and stained in spots. That detracts from the otherwise elegant surroundings. I also wish they had a full bar but they had a god selection of beer and wine by the glass. Definitely worth a visit to celebrate a special occasion. I don't feel like I would ever drop in for a casual weekday meal, though I couldn't say what the atmosphere is like during the week as we were there peak time on a Saturday night. It just felt more formal and suited to a celebratory dinner.

Food was amazing! I would go back again and again, especially for the pistachio crème brûlée. As a more introverted person, I was slightly uncomfortable with the service. When our shared appetizer came, instead of my partner & me diving up the food ourselves; the server was there to put it on our individual plates every time our plates got empty. It was fancy, but I enjoy more privacy. I also felt very rushed ordering and was pressured to order everything right away even though I made it known I did not know what I wanted. It was a busy Friday night, looked like they had big parties coming in, so I understood needing to be efficient for the overall service to others. I could not hear the server over how loud the restaurant was, so I got something very delicious but not exactly what I was hoping for. Overall, a really enjoyable experience and some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had! I will definitely recommend and go back! But if you are more introverted, aim to go during slower hours !

I hadn’t been to L’incontro in 5 years and it certainly did not disappoint! Great vibe upon arrival, nice diverse crowd, good service and very good food….. Highly recommend to those foodies who enjoy authentic Italian food.

Honestly one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Chef Rocco is so creative and always has an abundance of amazing specials. I have never had a bad meal here. The staff is amazing and makes you feel like home. Highly recommended!

My friends and I had a great meal. Professional service, great food and I loved the classic 'old school' NYC, neighborhood vibe. Menu was great, not overwhelmingly large but they offered a bunch of specials. Highly recommended spot for Italian in Astoria.

A meal at Trattoria L’Incontro is always worth having. There are always more luscious sounding dishes on the menu to which a significant number of specials are added than one can possibly try, and they always turn out to be excellent.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. We were four people. It was recommended by friends that joined us. The experience was a good one, however we felt the prices were a bit steep for the portions offered. We had their meatball appetizer which was delicious as well as the baked clams and tuna tartare. The baked clams were ok, but the tuna tartare was very good. For main courses, 3 of us had a pasta dish while one had a fish special. Again, these were very good! We passed on dessert because we were stuffed. Tough to park in this area in Astoria on a Saturday evening at the dinner hour.

This is our third time going and it’s our favorite restaurant to go to. The waiters are excellent and very attentive to your needs. The ambience is great and you feel like you’re in a little restaurant in Italy. The food is amazing and delicious. I would highly recommend you try this restaurant.

The food, wine, and welcome at Trattoria L'Incontro are always excellent. I live in the neighborhood and come here about once a month. (For my budget, it's a treat, not an everyday thing.) Rocco Sacramone is a first-rate chef and a first-rate host, and the staff are all great. We have a lot of terrific Italian restaurants in the five boroughs, but this one should be on every Italian food lovers' list.
