Came to restaurant after planning a trip to Atlanta for a baseball game. Restaurant itself was difficult to find since there is a "secret elevator button". Walked around asking people in hotel for 5 minutes before finally someone helped us. Atmosphere is amazing...really feels like you are in a Polynesian restaurant from back in the day. Drink menu was extensive and we ordered Mai Tai of course. They were the best we ever had although a little pricey. Ordered the tid bit appetizer which was half good half not good. The pork and ribs were delicious but the crab Rangoon and shrimp were a little greasy. Portion was small for the price. For dinner I ordered the rice and my husband got the beef stir fry. Both were good. Waiter was very attentive and even the bartender came over to ask if we were doing ok. Overall we enjoyed it even though it was pricey. Definitely an experience worth doing!

We had such a great experience! The ambiance and the food and drinks were all wonderful! I think they could use more wait staff, but they were all working very hard and were very pleasant.

Commercial, flavorless food and overcooked soggy asparagus. Only the waitstaff, the ambiance and the bourbon was good. Don't go.

Food and staff were great! We arrived when the doors opened at 5pm and opted to sit in the bar. Salam took care of us and made very good drinks. We tried the combo appetizer plate (best crab rangoon I've ever eaten and the dipping sauces were delicious) , wonton soup, Polynesian fried chicken and the all-in fried rice. Every dish was excellent! Manager Jesus stopped by several times to check on us. We thought the pricing was fair considering the restaurant is located in a hotel and in the downtown area.

The service was horrible. Waiter was slow and rude. He was cooking bananas foster for us and stopped to wait in another table causing it to be burnt. He dropped the ice cream on the floor & acted as if it was an inconvenience that we ordered it. Good was overpriced $ decor is outdated. I should have been offered a tefubd6. I have gotten better service at McDonald’s.

Milenko & Isha and the whole staff were great. The Painkiller & Mango Tai, all in rice and tomato / avocado salad was great. The whole 48th Birthday experience was phenomenal.

We loved the unique menu at Trader Vic's and the tiki hut interior feel, but the service fell short. We were excited to order the specialty cocktails but they arrived over an hour later. My husband got up to search for the waitress, as did a gentleman from another larger party in our section, but she was no where to be found. Our drinks arrived at the same time as our food. We liked the restaurant but the service ruined the night.

This was our first dining experience at Trader Vic’s and it was pleasant. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable and was extremely attentive. Shrimp aka Crispy Prawns and beef Cho Cho apps were great. Overall the atmosphere was great and the restrooms were clean.

Our server took 40 min to even greet us at our table for a drink order and was visibly annoyed at us for attempting to flag him down. He got our orders correct, but had a very bad attitude throughout the entire meal, snide comments included. Even as a low-maintenance group of 5, every request we made was an annoyance to him it seemed. I'm not sure what we did to tick him off but it was the worst service I've every experienced, to the point of laughter.

From the decor to the service to the quality of the food (and the stiffness of the drinks), Trader Vic's Atlanta felt like a Peach State Polynesia. Took my wife and baby on a special getaway date and was impressed with everything. The way they carry on the original Trader Vic's vision into the here and now is a wonderful thing a treasure for the city of Atlanta and anyone staying at the Hilton.

I celebrated my birthday with family here and everyone had a wonderful time. They were very kind and accommodating of all our needs with our children. The drinks and atmosphere make it a memorable experience. It’s rather pricey so we reserve this restaurant for special occasions.

Lamb inedible. Salmon ok. Appetizer sampler just not good. And it was expensive! Should have been fine dining for the price but far from it. Definitely not worth the money. Our server was nice and did the best she could but they were short staffed. Would not recommend.

This is the first time I've ever been to Trader Vics Atlanta that a reservation was absolutely needed. The restaurant was full and I was glad to see that. I visited 4 years ago and was fairly certain the place was on its death bed, but things have improved in a big way. The Mai Tai (1944) was spectacular and this was the first time in 9 years I didn't have to send the first one back. We had a painkiller too and it was perfection and was even garnished with nutmeg. The bartender was absolutely spot on with tradition. The main course was slow to make it to the table, but we were enjoying appetizers and drinks and were in no hurry, so it didn't bother us. We witnessed other parties that did have an issue with the slow service. The food was great, but the menu is pared down from years ago. We were both there to celebrate our birthdays, and they made a big deal out of that for us, including a rather special desert. Still the most popular food items are there. The place is Historic Tiki and deserves a visit for that reason alone- but it's back to where I believe it should survive for years to come. It was amazing to see the place so full.

Drinks and crab Rangoons were delicious! Very quiet inside and didn’t have to wait in line to be seated. Older crowd of customers.

This was a very fine restaurant in our hotel. The food was delicious. It seemed that the staff wasn’t prepared for the diners and things took quite long to come, especially the drinks. We all had reservations, so I’m not sure why they seemed overwhelmed. But they got us fed and our bills settled in time for our concert, so no complaints in the end! Very nice ambiance.

A must go to if you can. The steak is unbelievable! Such a lively restaurant and great service! Our server was amazing.

I got very sick sick that evening. I’m not sure if it was the food or something else, but it prevented me from leaving a five star review.

Went with my wife for our anniversary and brought our daughter . Everything started great. As we were working on our entrees, an employee that wasn’t our server asked how we were doing then immediately dropped our check before we were finished eating. Never saw our server again. The other employee kept checking back to see if we were ready to pay every few minutes until we did. No offer of dessert or anything. Strange way to end an evening. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and left us both confused. I’d come back for drinks but not for dinner.

We selected Trader Vic's for a business dinner and it was perfect! They easily accommodated our party of 8 and the service was a perfect mix of attention and allowing us to converse. I would note that the food wasn't quite hot when it arrived to the table but everyone really loved their food and drinks and can't wait to return!

Was excited to try Trader Vic's after an excellent meal a few years ago. Disappointed! This is the first review I've written that contained any negative comments & hate to do it but I rely on reviews when choosing where to spend my time and $$. Was treated well, but know they have a very limited menu now and I was charged for 2 drinks, not one. Glad my companion caught it; would've been easy to miss & only a couple other tables at the time makes me wonder if it was intentional. Service a little slow at the end and we literally had to run to make our show. Signage very poor to get to the restaurant from the parking garage. Glad to have made our reservation, but took 20 minutes, on our return we were fortunate to go directly & only took 7. Btw, elevators are SLOW! and small.

The ambiance was beautiful and the restaurant was clean. Staff was friendly and our waitress Samantha was the absolute GREATEST. She should be running the place. We enjoyed our meal but definitely enjoyed the Mai Tai flight. Will definitely be back.

I absolutely love this place!!! They food, people just everyone and everything. The front of house staff awesome I forget her name but from Sierra Leone AMAZING then comes Jesus wow wow they sat us with chrislyn and boy of boy she is over the top excellent. Can't wait to go back. I went last night probably go again tonight.

If you like Tiki Bars this is a really nice place to go. The food was great. I think the prices were a little on the high side, but this is probably to be expected given that the restaurant is located in a large brand name hotel catering to convention goer's.

The food was terrible. Steak and ribs are very tough. Prons were regular mega shrimp and tasteless. Only thehe drinks are fabulous.

Great historic restaurant with amazing service. It’s rare to find a tiki bar with this level of ambience and still preserved from its initial opening. Food is a little expensive but it is downtown Atlanta and cocktails were good.
