    There are very few better ways to follow up a day of Jazz Festing than sopping up that couvillion roux with cornbread. Sean's wine recommendations did not disappoint, and we also tried the lump crab salad and broccoli Caesar, which were super fresh. A lovely meal, and we will definitely be back.

    Awesome laid back atmosphere, amazing food, and exceptional service. Very glad we chose to celebrate our engagement here, I cannot express how amazing the food was and the drinks were just as good. If you’re looking for top notch service and food but don’t want to feel like you’re in a stuffy up-tight place, Toup’s is the place for you.

    Overall we loved this place! Our server Amber took excellent care of us and the food was delicious. We had a sidewalk table, which not the same ambiance as indoors, but they were great about accommodating changes to our reservation at the last minute. Menu highlights were the (super-sized) pork chop - grilled perfectly - and the chicken liver app. Yummy Caesar salad too… crab claws were probably least favorite dish, but all dishes had very authentic flavors. Will definitely return/ recommend!!

    Love the unusual meat options you can order here! The beef bone marrow whiskey “luge” is just…well you don’t see that on the menu every day! Entrees are huge, plan on sharing. Super casual, fun, boisterous vibe. Great place to hit before a show.

    Toups is a solid choice for a classic Louisiana meal. Huge portions at dinner, phenomenal food. Able to accommodate a large reservation within 24 hours. Everyone in the party was very happy with their meal and the value. Can’t wait to come back

    The food was less than appetizing. Not sure if it was because the kitchen closed 15 minutes after our reservation time or some other reason. The service was ho hum. I would not eat here again.

    The chicken sandwich was excellent. Shrimp and grits was not so great. The sauce had an odd flavor. Highly recommend getting the chicken sandwich though!! Overall was a great experience. I would go back and try something else next time.

    Food was awesome, as always. Great value, delicious options. If you are interested is wonderful tastings, this is a great place. Just didn't like the way Shawn dropped off our meat board, and then ran through the meats so quickly I had to ask him to repeat, which he acted bothered about. Then ran through them again and walked away without even naming or pointing out the cheesees. This was supposed to be a dining experience, not a race. I highly recommend Toups. Our bartender was very nice. Just stay away from Shawn.

    Outstanding. The lamb neck and especially the venison were amazing. I looked over and my friend’s duck was gone before any of us knew it. Also loved the broccoli Caesar. Also appreciated the friendly genuine service that was helpful and lovely and made us feel at home. Cannot wait to come back!

    They have a way with meat! Fantastic in house preparations, friendly and efficient staff, and a stellar bourbon selection provide everything you need for a night out. It's a bonus that the owners are fine people and show up for their community in a profound way. Eat here, you'll be glad you did.

    We've been going to Toups for many years now and have always loved it. We went Saturday night for the first time in a year or so and it was not great. The service was awful (took an unreasonable amount of time to just get a simple drink order of 2 draft beers and one cocktail) and we were bounced between 3 servers that were not coordinated in their efforts. The food portions were smaller than they used to be while prices were high. The Seafood Couvillon was too salty to eat and was lacking in seafood for $35. The crab salad was a mushy mess (greens were not crisp), like it was made earlier and shoved in the fridge and there was not much crab. It was also expensive for what was served at $33. I hope Toups returns to its former quality of excellent food and service.

    Straight away, we were greeted with kind service and very knowledgeable server. He guided us through the menu with recommendations. Based on what we like, he picked out a few selections and nailed it! We had the privilege of sitting next to a long time local and share a great conversation. Highly recommend!

    Amazing! Such a unique menu! The 5 of us shared appetizers, small plates and main courses. Truly a wonderful dining experience. Leslie, our server, was extremely knowledgeable about food prep to explain all the wonderful choices. This was our 1st time, but definitely not our last!!!

    Went for Sunday brunch and all I can say is WOW!! We sat outside on a beautiful day under the umbrellas and neighboring trees and enjoyed one of the best meals we’ve had in NOLA. The fried turkey necks with pepper jelly were out of this world delicious! The shrimp and grits was smokey and peppery and wonderful! Also the fish Benedict was fantastic and the greens under the fish were spicy and bright. Overall, we had a wonderful meal and would highly recommend!

    I’m so glad they brought the smoked duck to the brunch menu. I went for shrimp n grits but couldn’t pass on my favorite duck. Beef belly hash was tasty too. I’m not so sure how I feel about the chicken fried oysters; maybe if they were oysters since I’m not much a chicken girl.

    Too many great things even on the lunch menu! I wanted to try them all! Their boudin balls are outrageous and I still think about the pickled squash. Everything was truly delicious!

    Amazinnnnnnnngggggggggggggg!!!! Went with some friends ,The food was so good. We had the steak, duck , an chicken boudin ball, and pig ears everything was delicious. Food was hot when it got to the table all well seasoned. Our waitress was outstanding, she and all the other staff were very welcoming and quick , when im come back to Louisiana i will certainly make plans to stop at toups everytime.

    I love the food. The redfish special knocked it out of the park with the lobster mash. Wow oh wow. We had an extra ordered. We also had a cheese board, Brussels sprouts and mushrooms, dirty rice and chocolate cake.

    Restaurant came highly recommended and other reviews support the recommendation, but just wasn't our thing. We are not the foodie types and the food was too "different" for our liking. The chicken thighs were supper tender and the cornbread was delicious. The meat platter was too extreme for us - chicken hearts and chicken liver moose.

    Food: Pickle plate was amazing 10/10. Wagyu steak 10/10. Gulf Shrimp small plate 10/10. All of these were amazing tasting and perfectly sized. Drinks: martini 10/10. Delicious. Old fashioned 7/10. Too much ice for the old fashioned for my taste. Dessert: Toup’s strawberry shortcake. 2/10. They used a biscuit that was amazingly hard. Literally ate only a quarter of the biscuit. No where enough cream to make up for the hardness. Strawberries and whip cream were great though. Avoid this dessert. Try something else.
