    A great evening at Tommy Bahama. Roof top seating is always excellent though the live band can get loud. Terrific service, excellent food, and great drinks.

    I would have never expected a chain restaurant known for clothing to have such delicious food! It was the best meal I’ve had on my vacation. I had the academic but mahi with almond rice and asparagus. I immediately Googled to find more restaurants near me on the mainland. Our waiter was great and gave great recommendations. There was live music and we sat on the open air 3rd floor. It got a little windy, but it was a beautiful setting. Maholo!

    Made an open table reservation for 6:15pm. Arrived at 6:05p. Waited in their holding area til 6:15p where the hostess directed us to go up to the third floor rooftop for dining. There was a live musician who sounded like Jack Johnson. We ordered the battered asparagus and a dipping sauce appetizer. The asparagus was fresh and was bartered with breadcrumbs that was herbed and had a slight heat kick to it. The creamy aioli sauce helps give it a good texture. My wife ordered the small filet mignon salad, daughter ordered the vegetarian butternut squash dish and I had the kampachi with Okinawa sweet potato mash. The food was good and generous. My daughter’s entree wasn’t what she ordered and the waiter and manager quickly apologized and got the ordered corrected in 10 minutes but our other entrees were on the table. The food was a bit busy for my liking. Many different textures and flavors made the entrees too complicated. Maybe a central theme to each entree would be better. Mixed crowd mostly retired folks. Margatitaville types. The staff were up to par and were friendly and accommodating. They comped us the appetizer and dessert (pineapple crème brûlée) for the entree mishap which was appreciated.

    Food was great. Wagyu begged was excellent but the sauce was a bit spicy. Fish tacos was ok. The ahi salad was outstanding.
