WestRoom is your local in the heart of the city. This stunningly appointed bar is one of the city's best kept secrets with a reputation for great food and drinks. Located in the heart of the West End the bar has friendly staff and a relaxed ambiance.

Cicchetti is traditionally a selection of snacks served with drinks in Venice. Now served in city bars all over Italy, true Italian tapas, simple, fresh small plates to share or eat alone. The chef's seasonal fare is complemented by a great range of wine and beers alongside one of the best cocktail lists in the city.

PLEASE NOTE - We do not have a children licence at present, so we are currently unfortunately unable to allow anyone under the age of 5yrs.

An absolute gem of a restaurant. Perfect small plates for sharing while enjoying a glass or two of wine! We had a lovely time - it was exactly what we were looking for and the menu did not disappoint! Highly recommend! We will be back.

We last visited pre Covid under previous owners but it remains true to its ethos of great value Italian cicchetti served with a smile and now featuring a small Indian curry dish, well done and all superb. Service was impeccable and food delicious plus good value wines.

The 2 for 2 set menu was great value, the food was very tasty (especially the ravioli of the day) and the service came with a smile. Our meal was a very pleasing part of a most enjoyable Monday night out. The West Room is Highly recommended. As are Say She She live. The female trio harmonised even better than the Ravioli and saffron cream sauce served by West Room.

The West Room is a nice place and the food was quite good. Some courses were better than others. The only thing I would say is they miss a trick by not asking you if you want a dessert or coffee or another drink. I think their profits would increase substantially if they did.

We ate on a busy evening after the Scotland England rugby match. Despite this the staff were very attentive, the wine was really good as was the food. Definitely worth a visit, we will be back

What a charming little place. Service was fantastic, so friendly and attentive. Food was fine. Nothing outstanding but would definitely recommend as the whole experience and nice wine with great service.

I love this place for pre-rugby lunch. The food is delicious, staff are so nice and friendly and hard working and the house red wine is such good value. We will definitely be back again!

We very much enjoyed our lunch here one rainy Sunday afternoon. We had the soup and bruschetta, followed by two pasta dishes. Everything was hot, well cooked and tasty. The cocktails we enjoyed first were delicious. Good value, good food, nice place.

Restaurant recommended by Edinburgh daughter for pre-theatre [ Lyceum] meal; Service by our lovely waitress was a bit leisurely when we were rather tight for time-normally, it wouldn't have been a problem- but great food-black pud/goats's cheese dish , tagliatelle,sweet potato and parmesan fries plus 2 focaccia was more than ample -too much, in fact- and delicious. Nice buzz, no tacky background music, cosy , intimate feel ...in all, we loved it, Bonus was modest price, especially in our overpriced capital.Will definitely be back!

Food was outstanding. Service unfortunately pretty unfriendly - felt like being there was a bit of an inconvenience although restaurant was relatively quiet. Rugby was being shown which was a bonus however projector kept freezing - when another customer asked about it, it was met with a very curt response. Service aside I would highly recommend food - it was exceptional, clearly fresh made with a really good wine selection.

Limited offer menu, mainly vegetarian. Food we had was tasty and hot. Service was good until we came to pay bill when server hadn’t deducted our prepaid voucher and didn’t seem too pleased that she was being challenged about it. Place lacked atmosphere although decor was pleasant.

My friend and I had the sharing plates package for £30 which included 4 sharing plates and a glass of Prosecco each. When making the reservation, while it was clear the 4 sharing plates would be from a set menu, I had assumed we would choose 4 dishes from a menu separate from the a la carte menu, perhaps with more limited options. However, it was only on arrival we were advised the package included 4 specific dishes. It would be nice to have known about this beforehand. Had I known I couldn’t choose the dishes, I probably would have opted for the a la carte menu. That being said, I think the portions were generous and it was good value for money.

Fabulous bar. I didn't get food but would like to try it next time. Staff were friendly and ambience was enjoyable, not too loud but busy. Would go again.

Food was good but visited the toilets before leaving, pretty run down and evidence of poor care, soap dispenser covered in soap from other users and been like that for some time.

Absolutely adore this place! The cuisine was impeccably presented and incredibly tasty. The staff exuded genuine enthusiasm, were exceptionally friendly, and the vibrant atmosphere added to the overall experience. Moreover, the pricing was quite reasonable. I wholeheartedly recommend checking out this place during your time in Edinburgh!

The service was great, friendly, attentive. Food was great value, we got slightly confused as the menu top said small plates, but not all were small. Everything was incredibly tasty. Was expecting slightly more of a drinks selection for a wine bar and the cicchetti to feel slightly different to other good Italian eateries, but everything was delicious. I was replete after our initial order, but would have loved to repeat order and snack with my wine for longer. We loved the ambience here - we went on 'mad Friday' before Christmas and it felt very chill. Lots of customers just enjoying their friends and food. Never too loud.
