Buffet food was never hot. Barely warm if not cold! For 42 dollars an person I expect hot food!

Beautiful restaurant! We got seated on St Patrick’s Day at a corner winder table with our friends and the view was very nice overlooking the Mississippi River. Our waiter was friendly but spoke loud and fast which was a bit annoying but the delicious food made up for it-the appetizer of escargot and my Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked and so tender. The dessert of Turtle Cheesecake wasn’t as good as I’ve had before but that’s okay. Will done again in a heartbeat! We all had a very nice evening!

The food was excellent and the space was lovely. The service was unusually slow this time. We’ve been here before and usually the service is much faster. I’m not sure what the issue was this visit but the entrees took a very long time to come out.

The staff in the bar and the restaurant helped me explore my options and were knowledgeable. The whole staff is downright happy and professional. A pleasure to be taken care of with them. The food was perfection. Had the chicken-new on the menu and it was perfection. The veggies were crisp tender and perfect. The seasoning was well done and played beautiful on my taste buds. Well done! It’s a must to dine here again!

I had a wonderful dinner with my son with our amazing server Michaelangelo. He was fun and funny and guided us well through the menu! Food and ambience were lovely.

Went for our anniversary, the waitress told us to stick around for dessert because they "had a little something for us!" Food was excellent, although the wine suggestion given to me to pair with my pasta was not my favorite, in fact I couldn't tolerate it enough to finish (which is not like me) so I politely asked for a different wine. Dinner was delicious, she came back with a dessert menu, we picked the special for the day, she brought it, also delicious, and then we got the bill. The wine I had 2 sips from was still on the bill, and more expensive than my replacement glass... and the dessert was also on the bill, just as expensive as the first glass of wine I sent away. SO, long story short, if you order something you don't like, it will more than likley still be on your bill. And if they say "they have something special for you" for your anniversary, and it sounds like it's a free gift, double check it's actually free. Overall, 7/10.

Overall really delicious food. Interesting takes on dishes (some which panned out, some not), but I loved the adventurous spirit of the chefs. Definitely try their escargot. Service was outstanding. Ambiance a little hotel-ish for me, but still beautiful.

Fantastic drinks, appetizers and entrees, with top notch service too! Our veggies and potatoes were a little on the salty side, but our waitress Natalie made it right, and provided excellent service throughout our entire dinner experience. No wonder we always choose The Waterfront for all our celebratory dinners out!!

Had lunch with my daughter before going to a show at LaCrosse Community Theater. We both enjoyed the BUCATINI POMODORO* ricotta, smoked olive oil, basil , added salmon which was sautéed perfectly and share salad SPINACH + FRISÉE candied st. joe's bacon, chevre, sweet mustard. Finished the meal with the Special Chocolate bomb. Definitely delicious!

We had a truly exceptional evening at the Waterfront Restaurant! The food, wine, and service were top notch. The menu doesn’t disappoint, and this continues to be our favorite place to go when a special evening is planned! We will continue to come back!

My husband I look forward to coming to waterfront! It’s always a wonderful dinning experience from start to finish. The Salmon is delicious. The Short ribs is also one of our favorites. There is nothing on the menu that won’t satisfy your taste buds! The ambience and view is also too notch.

The bar was extremely loud, but it was also very busy. Sierra was our sever and she was fantastic! Love the environment and food!

My only complaint was that one of the members of our group had the pasta / scallops dish , and last night it was too salty. Prior experiences were never like that.

Unfortunately our food wasn’t as good as we’ve had in the past. My steak came out medium rare instead of medium well. The Mac & cheese which I normally LOVE was lukewarm and the noodles needed to be cooked a minute more - just a bit too hard. Our wedge salads had maybe a tablespoon of dressing on them. Our server was great but our meal was a bit underwhelming compared to previous visits.

Absolutely the best dining experience we have had in a very long time. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, The food was perfection, and the presentation was professional. The Waterfront is the retaurant to go to in La Crosse when you have guests to wish to impress.

Waitstaff was excellent, as was the ambiance of the bar and restaurant. Great location on the river. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular, but it was good. The menu is limited as they only use fresh and local ingredients, which is nice. Food is moderately expensive. It's a nice place to visit, but it won't be one I'd visit more than once.

This is our most favorite restaurant in LaCrosse!! The food and drinks are great! But above that is the professionalism and knowledge of the wait staff. In particular, our amazing server Ciara who we request ever time we come here, goes so far above our expectations to make our dining experience so enjoyable and relaxing! We are always impressed by her knowledge of the menu items but also her knowledge of the wine list and cocktails!! She is a large part of the experience that we value!! We highly recommend The Waterfront and we can wait to go back!!

No vegan options. Only one vegetarian option. All the main meals and appetizers were meat-based. It would be nice to have more non-meat options.

While we do not have any vegan dishes listed on our menu, our staff is well versed in helping to create dishes to cater to a number of dietary restrictions and your server should have been able to offer a number of options or offered to speak with the chef to create something that would work for your specific needs. The host also inquires about dietary restrictions or preferences when booking, I see that you booked online, so I will see if we can offer a space to include that moving forward. I will also share your feedback with the kitchen and we will take it into considerations for the upcoming menu change. Thank you and I hope that you enjoyed your evening with us.

The waterfront is always an excellent choice. The atmosphere is classy and staff is always friendly and helpful. I particularly like the fact they have original local art on the walls that is displayed very well. The food... well I have never been disappointed.
