Le restaurant The Terrasse du Charlotte Inn vous propose une bouchée de la cuisine la plus renommée de la Nouvelle-Angleterre. Food exceeded expectations. The ambiance was very quiet & romantic. Service was outstanding. The Grilled Colorado Lamb Chops was a great menu choice.

Ambiance and service are amazing but for the price charged for the tenderloin one should get a full piece of steak and not 2 cut strips.

The very best restaurant on Martha's Vineyard. The chef is very clever. The plates are small but delectable. Everything we had was superb. The ambiance is amazing. A very cozy restaurant filled with interesting art and books.

Delicious dinner - great spot for a special occasion. The food was excellent, nice sized portions didn't leave you feeling cheated or too full. The dover sole was amazing and so was the steak au poivre. Drinks were fun and generously portioned. We make sure to go here at least once a year and are never disappointed.

Such a magical place. We love going to the Terrace during Christmas in Edgartown. Alway such warm and welcoming service and the food never disappoints. You will never feel rushed. Highly recommend.

Atmosphere is perfect. Quiet change to other Edgartown restaurants. Service and food a step above another restaurants on the island as is the price. Somewhat limited menu.

The absolute most perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. The food and ambiance were superb. Our waiter Dusan was professional, and kind - very knowledgable about each dish with spot on suggestions. One of the top dining experiences we've ever had!

Spending our 50th wedding anniversary on the Terrace outdoor seating area was perfect. From booking the reservation, then having to change due to a family member's illness, to the time we walked away, it was magical. The hostess, Heidi, was delightful, the garden was very pretty, the staff offered very personalized service and the meal was delicious. Wonderful memory to add to our 50 years together. Thank you so much

Charming space and ambience. Food was grossly overpriced ($82 for Dover sole?!?) and quality did not comport with price.

Our dinner at The Terrace was outstanding. We were celebrating my brother and sister in law's anniversary. They had never been and we wanted it to be special. The entire evening was and we have a beautiful memory to recall the event. Thank you.

Une fois passé un moment de flottement induit par un placement que je qualifierais de surprenant et qu’il a fallu vite rectifier, la soirée fut divine. Excellente cuisine basée sur des produits locaux de qualité. Service impeccable et irréprochable, avec plusieurs personnes qui nous parlent en français. La décoration des lieux est digne d’un relais et châteaux. Nous avons passé une excellente soirée.

Wonderful restaurant in every way! Excellent wine and food. Vichyssoise! Lamb chops that melt in your mouth! YUM! Great place to celebrate or just relax and be treated royally.

The cocktails were disappointing at such a high end restaurant to be served with too much ice, tall glasses, long straws, and very little alcohol. Later than 7 is best for reservations IF you're out to see people, as we were only 1 of 2 parties with a 6 o'clock.

Our last visit was 22 years ago and we were delighted to see that the decor was exactly the same, and gleaming! It’s a gorgeous little historic gem. The service was first rate and my martini was perfection. The only miss was the food. The serving of beef carpaccio was oddly tiny and seared at the edges, and the Dover Sole for $83 might as well have been tilapia and it was overcooked! The pasta with truffles had zero truffle flavor.

First time at the Charlotte Inn and we were impressed from the very beginning. The inn is filled with fine art and antiques as well as indoor plants in the dining area which made this a truly unique setting.

We celebrated our Anniversary at The Terrace at the Charlotte Inn, and it was a great experience. The service was top notch, everyone was warm and accommodating. The food was exceptional, and the drinks were delicious. Hats off to the staff for a wonderful evening.

Contrary to the Edgartown, MA Board of Health current (9/9/21) regulations regarding Covid that require masks for everyone, vaccinated or not, while indoors in public spaces, the wait staff at the Charlotte Inn were not wearing masks. At every other restaurant we ate at in Edgartown and all over Martha's Vineyard that week, the wait staff wore masks. So we were surprised when we arrived, and had we known in advance the wait staff would not be wearing masks, we would not have dined there, although we have enjoyed dining there in the past, since I have a compromised immune system. So patrons beware, the restaurant operator is more concerned about ambience than your health, or is just a (your choice of expletive}.

Outstanding service, food and ambiance. We make it a point to go to The Terrace when we are on Martha’s Vineyard. I have dietary restrictions and the chef is very careful to make me a dinner that avoids my allergens and is absolutely delicious! The setting is gorgeous and very romantic. Just the perfect restaurant!

The Terrace at The Charlotte Inn is beautiful and the food is excellent. The service is also first rate. However, I could not rate it 5 stars because of my concern for safety precautions during COVID. Every other establishment we visited on Martha's Vineyard required indoor masking and servers wore masks at restaurants. No employees wear masks here despite the fact that the restaurant had to close temporarily in August due to a COVID outbreak amongst its workers (see The Vineyard Gazette, August 26, 2021). We were really surprised to find that The Charlotte Inn and The Terrace don't exercise COVID precautions when there is a mandate from The Edgartown Department of Health. So, again, the food and service are great. You won't be disappointed there. It all depends on your comfort level. Had we known before, we would not have gone.

Without exception—THE finest dining on Martha’s Vineyard. The Terrace excels in every aspect of the dining experience. The service to absolutely top-notch with truly professional wait staff and front of the house personnel. The food is superb. I has a Lobster special and it was spectacular. The Escargot was excellent and my wife’s scallops were perfect. A nice selection of wines by the glass also: We chose the Chateau Neuf du Pape and the bar service was great to. My martini was as cold as I would have normally made it. Some people will balk at the cost, but you get what you pay for an much more at the Terrace at The Charlotte in Edgartown

Went here for 10th wedding anniversary and it was such a treat. alex was our server as she was delightful! The diver sole and filet were perfectly prepared! Nice wine list. Would definitely recommend!
