Welcome to the historic Sycamore Inn Prime Steakhouse, a landmark of hospitality on the legendary Route 66 since 1848. Our menu features Prime Steaks, Prime Rib, Chops, Seafood, Superb Salads, Signature Side Dishes, Luigi’s Famous Minestrone Soup and heavenly desserts complete the menu. We've been coming to the Sycamore Inn for over 20 years. While we usually enjoy the bar/patio area, it was a special occasion, so we made reservations for the dining room. We were sat in a high-traffic area, which made dining awkward, but that was tolerable. The service from the waitress was atrocious! We interacted with her all of 3-4 times. The busboy was more attentive and provided better service than she did. We asked for a drink menu, then waited at least 10 minutes for her to return to take a drink order. After we placed our dinner order, I asked for the wine list. She never came back to take our wine order and by the time she did, our dinner had arrived. That would not have been bad, except by the time they pulled the requested bottle from their "cellar", we were nearly finished with our meals. It's not as if they were extremely busy or understaffed. Again, the busboy came to the table more often, served the food, and even boxed our leftovers. Needless to say, we won't be returning until the memory of this visit has faded.

We sat on the patio. Service was a little slow. We were offered bread when we first sat down. We had to ask twice and it did not come until after our food arrived. The waiter was very nice but seemed not very good at delegating services to his two assistants. Normally, we sit inside and the service is always very good.

Our reservations were for 4:45, I checked in at 4:40 ans they set us down immediately. They were very busy, so we ordered appetizers. We waited a long time for the food , but is was worth the wait.

This was our first time dining at the Sycamore and we absolutely LOVED it! We had amazing food, service (our waitress, Taylor was second to none) and loved the ambiance. The history of the restaurant is so interesting. We will be back!

Great service and ambience. For 4 star pricing, the steaks were just ok and worse yet, came out slow and not hot. The sides and desserts were good but a $500 dinner for 4 with just one person getting 1 drink, it was not worth it.

At first I was seated in the lounge, which was in the height of Happy Hour, the noise level was beyond the ambiance I was hoping for. My waiter graciously moved me to the main dining room and brought me a complmentary dessert! The prime rib was not as tender as some I have had. All in all, I will return for another occasion later in the year. I recieved just the right amouont of attention and felt welcome.

A classic! The food always delivers. The service has been the weak point of the restaurant for some time now. It seems as though the management is not hands on enough and allows people who don't have enough experience to run the show. Last visit was 4/28/24 and our server was stretched way too thin and I never saw a manager involved. The table next to us was served the wrong entree and listening to the solution was painful. They are good people who are trying hard, but in need of an experienced manager in fine dining.

We enjoyed our dinner. It was prepared perfectly & without disappointment. The between salad & dinner there was quite a gap due to the restaurant getting busy. Waitress was very sweet & classy.

This cozy old school speak easy is a great place to just unwind and enjoy dinner and drinks. Service is exceptional and the team is very welcoming. Love this place.

There is not a time, when we drive down to so California that we don’t plan for dinner at the inn. It’s got so much history!! The food is excellent. Do you like creamed spinach? For 25 years, it’s my favorite. ❤️
