«The Standard at the Smith House» est un des meilleurs exemple de la saveur locale et du service de Nashville. Le restaurant est en fonction depuis 2006, servant des spécialités haut de gamme du sud avec un service de bar complet. Notre maison a été construite dans les années 1840 et nous sommes très fiers d'être les gardiens actuels de ce travail fascinant d'architecture. Nous sommes heureux d'offrir des visites à nos clients avant ou après leur expérience culinaire chez nous. Nous sommes situés au coeur du centre-ville de Nashville, à quelques coins de rue du nouveau Centre de Convention Music City et du fameux quartier des arts et spectacles Lower Broadway. Based on the restaurant’s website I was expecting something considerably more tasteful. Instead of “business casual” dress, some diners were slovenly dressed, in shorts and t-shirts. The overall ambience was disappointing—make-believe ante-bellum. The food was good but not exceptional in any way. I wouldn’t go back.

It was my husbands birthday and overall the experience was pleasant and most of the food good. However I ordered Pasta Primavera which was the only entree option for a non meat eater, that’s me, and it was not good. The price was $38. And the only vegetable in with the pasta was zuchinni. It was overpriced and boring. Most Pasta Primavera is mixed vegetables. The sauce was also skimpy and not great. The service was very good. And they offered a free dessert to my husband for his birthday. We spent over $700 for 4 people with a bottle of Sangiovese being $180. And we each had a cocktail.

This place was amazing overall. My girlfriends and I had dinner here for my birthday. Allan was our waiter and he was great. He’s very knowledgeable and appropriately chatty. We had the NY strip, Chilean sea bass, asparagus, the Standard filet, and the half baked cookie for dessert. Everyone was extremely pleased with everything. This was the best meal we had the whole week we were in Nashville.

Food and service were great. Great overall ambiance. Very welcoming and friendly staff from Kelly upon entry to Scott our waiter.

The overall experience was excellent. We enjoyed everything about it. I ordered the pork chop and can only hope this review does it justice. It was the most tender, flavorful and well cooked pork chop I have ever had. Most good steakhouses can't cook steak well enough to live up to their prices but this pork chop was extremely well done and definitely worth the price. Would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good food and service.

We entered this old residence turned restaurant with being welcomed and escorted through the stately and beautifully appointed rooms to our table. We were met by our servers Autumn and Brandon. Impeccable service was received from them throughout our perfect evening. Our steaks were prepared and served perfectly along with our salad and sides. Each course was better than the next. All in all from the moment we entered The Standard to our departure our night was a 10+. We will absolutely return.

A unique experience that won’t disappoint. We had a drink at the bar while we waited for our private table experience in what I’ll call the “Markers Mark” room. I shared the tomahawk with a colleague and it was fantastic!
