The Smoke House has been our go to restaurant for friends and family. We always make reservations, never just walking in. Each time, even with reservations, they make us wait. Not long.....but you have to wait while someone at the desk studies, I am assuming the seating chart. Then after discussion with another associate, they seat us. We went last night and it was the same thing. The restaurant at 6 was not crowded. We love the restaurant but it seems wrong to make a reservation and then they make a to do as if its a burden to try to seat you. We love the place, but it is not run how it used to be.

The Smoke House is a family favorite. The food is always excellently prepared, the service is fantastic and everyone on staff is extremely polite. The ambiance is Old Hollywood so you always feel like you could be sitting next to Fred Astaire or Bob Hope. We are NEVER disappointed when we dine at The Smoke House.

We were seated promptly. We had good service. There were 5 of us and we each ordered different things off the dinner menu. Everything was fine. Good food, Good service at a reasonable price. Thankyou.

Did a nice job for Mothets Fay but very crowded. Smoke House look exactly as it did 20 years ago when the Las time I was there.

We come here for special occasions because the prices are a bit high to eat here on a regular basis…birthdays and Mother’s Day this year! My Old Fashioneds were perfect, as were the other drinks, the Caesar salads and the prime ribs, chicken and filets! Then for dessert the chocolate mousse cake was heavenly. Of course, I can’t forget the awesome orders of garlic bread the 6 of us devoured! Can’t wait to go back for more later this year…I hope!!

Service from Willie was excellent! We had a 2:00 reservation and we weren't seated until 2:15 for a bunch that ended at 3:00. I was not notified at the time of booking this was the situation. Due to our time restraint our Mother's day brunch was rushed. We were still charged the same amount as patrons that received the two hour grace period.

It’s best not to go here on holidays. It gets extremely busy and sometimes the menu is limited. On our last visit our waiter did not check in on us for 45 minutes and we did not receive our starters. On a quiet night this place is hard to beat.

Sadly we had a below average experience. Been coming here 40+ years and tonight was very disappointing. The prime rib was fatty. The bussers never came by to refill our water (we had to flag another server to get water and containers) Our server did what she could to make it right & we appreciate her. The bussers should check on all tables not keep going to only a chosen few!

The Smoke House is an iconic eatery and great place to hang for a meal, live music, or a game, if you stick to the classics, it’s the “smoke house” for their bbq menu, a steak off the grill with a big baked potato you can’t go wrong, if you get curious for the shrimp tacos or pasta you will be disappointed. Keep it simple and have a good time at this world class studio haunt. If you’re lucky you’ll get a legendary server like Hector a great guy and 20 year man. This is the kind of grill that is reminiscent of a club house and you’re welcome to hang all night. Have fun.

We had a great time. The restaurant is very busy and very loud so make sure that everyone in your party can handle the noise level. We love ordering family style so we can all taste a little bit of everything.

We made RESERVATIONS to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were greeted warmly and shown our table. Initially, the wait-staff was attentive, but then, service went downhill rapidly. As water was the beverage of choice, we had a difficult time getting water refills, as well as boxes for our entrees that we weren't able to finish. The photographer came around to take photos... we settled on one photo and she said "you have $15.00 cash - no, I didn't have cash, so she asked for $16.00 and changes and said is that ok? I wanted to say "No" what will you do about it...but I didn't. They did not offer dessert menu or even a complimentary dessert of ANYTHING and they knew we were there to celebrate a birthday. Even Olive Garden offers a complimentary birthday dessert. We will not be back due to not stellar service. NOTE: the restaurant was busy, but NOT that busy.

The food was above & beyond our expectations. Our waiter, Santiago, was very good at his job. He got our orders right & brought everything out in excellent progression. Our waiter’s assistant, George, was very attentive to our needs. He kept our water glasses full, our cups full of coffee and made sure we didn’t go without anything. The restaurant is quaint and the decor takes me back to the days of the 60’s. It been around since 1928, 96 years and going strong.

We were celebrating my wife's birthday and we ordered Filet Mignon and Salmon. The item Salmon Plank was not as described. The waiter told us that the Salmon Plank was served on Mashed potatoes and not Vegies as mentioned in menu. My wife ordered Filet Mignon which was delicious and I ordered grilled Salmon with two side dishes. Both dishes were tasty. What was disappointing was that there was no dance floor. Actually it was covered with tables to accommodate additional guests. Music was good. Rat Pack Ricky did a great job in singing our favorite song standards. We will probably go back but only when they open the dance floor...

3+ years post-pandemic it’s so good to be able to return for one of L. A.’s best buffet brunches, here’s why: you can’t beat the ambiance (big comfortable booths, a noise-absorbing room), well-rounded menu of salads, meats, fresh fruits, omelet and pasta bars, poached and smoked salmon, shrimp and oysters, crab legs, ceviche, deserts galore…and foremost: a clientele always happy to return!

Overall service, quality and menu within restaurant was excellent. Valet was terrible. Had to wait for over 20 minutes after giving ticket for car and then had to show them which were our keys. The actually expected us to pay for extremely terrible service. Would highly recommend the elimination of valet parking as it took away from our dinning experience

A fun classic joint. The cocktails are good and I liked the grilled artichoke to start. My friends loved their wedge salad. I had the filet mignon with the peppercorn sauce and it was delicious. We sat in the room that has entertainment on Fridays which made it more fun too. Definitely going back!

Overall, a very nice restaurant. Yes, they had ambience, Yes, they had good Garlic Cheese Bread, and Yes, the food all tasted good - So, I'd recommend it to friends... I think if you're over by the WB, if you are passing the area from one location or another, or possibly have friends in the close by - it's worth the stop.
