Food variety was great! The service was mediocre at best, the waiter was in such a hurry, we had to remind him we were ordering food 3 times.

Great drinks, menu, and service. Food was very good. My only comment is that it's super loud and hard to have conversation at the table. In fact, we couldn't even hear our server when he answered our questions.

Our server was very friendly and welcoming, but things took forever or she forgot them (e.g., bread, sweetener for iced tea, etc.).

Food was amazing! Host at the front was very welcoming, our waiters as well. The sesame calamari is insane!!!!!! Must try it!!! The burger was great, Mac and cheese too. Loved everything we had. Will be making this place my regular spot

It was Mother's day so some friction was expected, but this was not ideal. We had a reservation and we did run 10 minutes late (I called them in advance to let them know) but we still waited >20 minutes to be seated as the place was jammed. We were sat in the back which was a little quieter which was nice. We didn't see a waiter for 10-15 minutes so when they came we ordered everything (drinks, oysters, mains). Drinks came a few minutes later. Mains came a few minutes later. Half way through the waiter came by and we told him we had not received the oysters and we would still like them while our drinks were not finished (ordered champagne to have with them for Mothers day). He apologized and said he would take care of it. 15-20 minutes later we had finished our mains which were bused away and finished our drinks and the oysters showed up and we sent them back as we were about ready to go. So not ideal. Would have had different drinks if we knew oysters would not arrive. Food was pretty good as always, though grilled chicken sandwich a little overdressed (just messy, good taste). So really a service issue more than anything. Usually service is quite good here but Mother's Day's and other holidays may not be the ideal time to go.

We did not sit down until ONE HOUR after our reservation. There was no point to using Open Table. They seemed to just sit people as they came in. And they weren't always so nice. Once we were seated our server was terrific but the wait was pretty terrible with people standing everywhere. We won't go here on an event day again... if we go back at all.

I enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day Breakfast with my daughter. The food was amazing, we had the buttermilk pancakes and the waffle fries eggs benedict so that we could share. I highly recommend.

Chicken sandwich was decent, although should come with a towel..the bread was totally over saturated with aoli sauce. I like to eat like a lady and the dressing was dripping down the sandwich, my hands and my face. Otherwise a satisfying meal. My colleague ordered the chicken Milanese. Although an interesting add to the menu, it simply wasn’t good. Too much salad covering the chicken with a few slices of grapefruit. Next time we do the burgers!

Went for a work lunch. Took a few minutes to get water, I personally think that that should be instantaneous. Grilled chicken Caesar salad was delicious (a bit pricy at $26). Ordered a side of fries that came later than anticipated and not as hot as I would’ve liked. Overall, good exeperience

The restaurant is too noisy for me. It is unfortunate because the food was good, I would have liked to try other entrees but I probably won't return because I couldn't have a normal conversation with my guests.

Our party of three enjoyed a delicious brunch outdoors. Our waiter was very personable and quite attentive. The traditional eggs Benedict was thoroughly enjoyed by one of our members. Our second diner devoured her buttermilk pancakes. I decided to go with the cheeseburger, fries & salad. Absolutely delicious! We’ll definitely be back to this fine establishment!

Wait staff was fantastic. They anticipated most of our needs; water , wine, and beer refills, but whenever we needed something, any member of the staff would help. They didn’t say “I’ll get your server, or I’ll tell your server”…they just made it happen. THAT is a great service experience.

I ordered mussels with frites. Mussels were not fresh and the accompanying broth was tasteless. On the other hand, my companions thoroughly enjoyed their steaks.

From our first steps to our departure, everything was AMAZING. This saturday evening was out last in NYC before returning to Montreal and The Smith Midtown made it PERFECT. The food was more than we could even expect. The seafood tower is quite an experience, treat yourself! Thank you to everyone at the front desk, including the managers, because they made us laughed a lot and were so nice to us. Big thanks to our server too. A must in NYC!

The Smith is a great place for brunch, happy hour, pre-theater or late night - actually, any time at all for dining, snacking and drinking. It is very noisy, though, but in a way that adds to the charm. It's a place people want to hang with friends and chat noisily while they eat.
