    The food was good. Servers very friendly. However… the music and noise was insanely loud and one couldn’t hold a conversation with anyone without yelling. Food took an insanely long time to come out. Would return if they guaranteed music and ambiance was calmer or if I was with someone I didn’t want to talk too.

    A great place to eat (and drink). The booths, which I prefer, are comfortable and roomy. The service is excellent; the waitstaff are always friendly, helpful and courteous. The menu is varied and the food is excellent. (If you’re a burger person, try the Smith Burger: big, delicious garnishes, and the French fries are perfect. It can get very loud, but their choice of music is great and I’ve never had trouble hearing conversations with my friends. I’ve never once felt that I was being rushed, no matter how busy they are (and it’s a very popular eatery). Highly recommended!

    Polite staff seated us promptly outdoors under a heat lamp as requested. Only local restaurant I know that automatically places both still and sparkling bottles of water on the table… and the sparkling, obviously made in-house was excellent. Although the French fries were good, skinny, crispy and salty (a very large portion) the kale quinoa salad was only OK. That said, the blistered shishito peppers were OUTSTANDING! Worth the trip just for them. The Moscow mule was also excellent… terrific ginger driven flavor.

    Celebrated my birthday with friends and couldn’t be more pleased with the food and service. Definitely planning to return!

    Lovely experience at The Smith's East Village location, thoroughly enjoyable for a 15-year-old's birthday celebration. The right amount of 'specialness' at dessert (i.e. no 'cringe' singing ;). Favorite of the 3-4x I've been to a The Smith. Vastly prefer the East Village location and layout to Lincoln Sq. In a word: it rocked. 🤘

    Amazing service! Great Ambience. Steak was amazing, but the fish and chips were pretty unpleasant.

    An incredibly catered experience in every sense of the word. The whole staff from the servers to the manager are the absolute gold standards of hospitality. The quality of the food was incredible, the prices were fair, and the portions were great as well! My group and I left our night with The Smith wanting even more. Thank you kindly for hosting the International Policy & Planning Association from NYU Wagner.
