Depuis 50 ans, le Rib Room est réputé pour ses plats et son service exceptionnels. Les grandes fenêtres donnant sur Royal Street sont la toile de fond parfaite pour dîner à Crescent City. We attended the Mother’s Day breakfast/lunch, so the menu was limited. The location is nice in the French Quarters. The restaurant is inside of the Omni Hotel, a Jazz piano player played while we were dining in. We were seated very quickly, it wasn’t too busy. The service was really slow and our waiter Renee wasn’t very attentive. The food is very bland but they give you a nice size portion. Nothing memorable about the food but the drinks were delicious!

It is a very nice room and the hostels sited us at a great table on a window with views to the street. The food is pretty good, but they do not allow you to do any substitutions or extras in your dish. The waiter had no patience and was a little rude, not what you expect on an expensive top notch restaurant. Overall not a bad choice for seated service breakfast.

We expected this to be high end quality food based on the price of the dinner, but the steak really lacked any unique flavor, loaded potato was pretty dry and their ranch was sour and not good at all.

I’m a regular at the Rib Room. It’s normal for you to have to flag down a server because they forgot about you. The food is good but not special. The bartenders are incredible and very kind. The turtle soup is also pretty good. Surprisingly the prime rib is never what you would hope for.

Bar was very slow. To such an extent that they should have comped at least two guests’ cocktails. Food was not at the level we were expecting. There were several mentions of being short staffed. Which is surprising since you would think they would staff up for Jazz Week. Pool Bar not open either. The high point was the fresh bread being delivered to the table while we waited. The bread server and our waitress were very nice even in light of the situation.

Did not have the best food experience in this place. My wife ordered a salmon and it was over cooked and dry and I ordered a short rib that had to send back as well. The waiter was fantastic, she apologized, but understood our frustration. It was our anniversary and we really wanted to have a nice experience and this place was disappointing.

Very average food, not a good wine selection. Actually I was surprised the servers not knowing much about wine. One thing I gave the servers is that they were trying hard to be nice to us giving conversation as they even could tell how the food was not great (I guess that every restaurant have a bad day and this was theirs…)

Special menu for Easter Brunch but we loved the prime rib, the salads and the crab cake benedict was outstanding. We will definitely be back.

The brunch was really good! We had the burger and omelet, very good! Staff was amazing and friendly. They were having a problem with their credit system and everyone was great about giving us a heads up about it. We will definitely be back again.

Totally disappointed. This restaurant once was a destination. Now it should be avoided. For the location and prices you would expect high quality food and impressive service, instead we got garden variety hotel food. The waitress was super nice and truly seemed to be trying but clearly has zero experience working in what is supposed to be a high end restaurant. Inexplicably we not only poured our own wine but opened our own bottle?!? (She left the corkscrew and suggested we go ahead and open it because she was going to put our order in). There was no other servers and so we assisted her in the bussing of the table. I’ve had more comprehensive service at Texas Roadhouse. The wine list is anemic. There were two ports on the dessert menu but both were unavailable despite this being in the Omni hotel. (Is there no port wine in the entire property??). Sad excuse for a fine dining experience.

Best Jazz brunch I’ve ever been to(I’ve been to a bunch) and one of the restaurants in New Orleans! The crawfish quesadillas were amazing, the rib roast omelette was to die for and you can never go wrong with $20 bottomless mimosas or bottomless mimosas! However, the best thing about the restaurant was the service, top notch, thank you so much for making my birthday!!!

My husband and I went for brunch on a Sunday at noonish. Nice jazz band. Hardly any people in the restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was excellent. I ordered a burger and fries. It was overcooked and the fries were cold. I’d say definitely not a $20 burger. My husband had the crab Eggs Benedict. It was tasty but not hot. I’m glad we tried it but probably wouldn’t go there again. The aesthetics are great but the food is not special.

Our steaks were very good. Service was a bit slow, but good. Wine list was ok, but not great. The bread was served in a bag - would have been nicer in a basket at a place like this. It is a nice restaurant and overall a good experience. Whatever you do, do not ignore the warnings on the horseradish - it is crazy hot!!!

very nice dining room, had a 7:45pm reservation for 4 of us. The server was wonderful, the food was disappointing. It was not hot, the appetizer that was supposed to be served hot was actually very cold. The Queen portion of Prime Rib was paper thin and the loaded baked potato was hard and not cooked through fully. I expected better.

Decor was way out of date, food was at best mediocre and prices were way out of line! We left with taking only one bite of our entrees. Besides all of these problems, the majority of diners dress was more suited for attendance to a high school football game, not a supposed fine dining establishment.
