The Queens Arms is a cosy pub hidden under the cobblestones of Edinburgh, and home to the city's Best Sunday Roast.

Again this place was a brilliant venue for my partner and I. The cocktails are amazing, the alcohol free Days lager is great for those of us driving (me). We ordered the chicken and pickles X2 which was amazing and we get that every time. That ranch dip is stunning. We got the beef burger and mac & cheese for mains which were both stunning and nicely presented! Be warned they are extremely generous with portion sizes!!! We had to box ours and take it home which they were more than happy to do for us. I’d say this is now my favourite pub in Edinburgh!

We went with friends (4 of us) on a Sunday evening. The pub is cozy with a warm cheerful vibe. The food was good ….simple comfort food type style. My husband and I had the Sunday sharing roast. Service was ok until our food arrived and then our server literally went AWOL. He seemed to take off his apron and leave. No one stopped by our table for ages ….we finally flagged down another server and got her to clear our table and bring our dessert (included with the meal). We had to flag her down again for the check. Our original waiter seemed to resurface eventually but never did stop back at our table. So nice place and good food but service leaves a lot to be desired.

Went there to eat their signature dish the Wellington The meat was very chewy not good. The sides on the other hand were pretty good. The staff was very friendly.

A classic British pub, we had great lunch and dinner there. Cosy atmosphere, tasty and generous portions, joyful music, a good variety of local whiskey's and beers, friently and helpful staff. Sunday roast really great! Much recommended!

Lovely place for lunch. Warning if you want to have a quieter meal make sure you sit away from the tvs as groups gather round them

Disappointingly moved off booth table at 9pm, booking from 730 pm. Due to another food booking for table, a few tables were empty at this time. We moved to a smaller tighter table. Our original table was never taken and at 10pm a group of young people took booth as it was empty for drinks. We were never offered to go back to original table or received an apology for inconvenience. We werent given the option to go back to table after pointing out table was unused.

I had the Crispy Mac and Cheese and a Sticky Toffee Pudding, both were delicious, the staff was very kind.

Fish was very good. It took forever to get the bill once we finished dinner.

Our 2nd visit again did not disappoint. Service was outstanding and staff very friendly. Excellent food & drinks. Ambience was warm & inviting. Would strongly recommend.

Pub pour les sportifs. Plein d'écrans permettant de voir les matchs nationaux et internationaux. Bonne cuisine, produits frais, plats locaux typiques haggis, fish ans ship, pie....Service sympa et efficace. Très bonne ambiance avec beaux de locaux, niveau sonore élevé!! Possibilités pour les végétariens et veganiens.

As you enter the Queen’s Arms, you immediately feel at home. The pub has lots of fantastic features including ornate booth doors and little two-seater nooks. We had the sharing Sunday Roast and it was incredibly well presented and delicious, although some of the meat was tough and stringy. My only real criticism was around draft beer selection. The selection is very restricted and doesn’t include a simple session ale for those of us that are not a fan of IPAs. Overall we had a fantastic Sunday lunch and would definitely go back.

The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is awesome and the food was delicious. We had the haggis, neeps and tatties and the chicken and mushroom sharing pie and it was the best we have had so far in Scotland. Double that for the sticky toffee pudding. Truly a delicious experience.

Not to be missed!!!! The atmosphere is stunning, impeccable service, and FANTASTIC food!!! We were blown away. The toffee sticky pudding was outrageous too. Make sure to book ahead, we were so glad we did!

As a tourist in Edinburgh, I went there for their Sunday Roast and it did not disappoint. Food was incredible, service was amazing....5 stars across the board.

Disappointed with the Sunday roast. Beef was overcooked and tough, cauliflower cheese was cold/dry The vegan option was more like a pie with no mushroom/truffle as part of the wellington. Options looked nothing like the pictures; not sure if trying different suppliers or recipes. Advised we needed to leave the table around 30 mins after meal was served, which wasn’t ideal either.

My experience was once again very good. I appreciated the phone call in advance warning me about the power cut and offering an alternative venue, but I was not eating with yourselves. Otherwise my only slight issue was that the table service was not as efficient and prompt as it usually is. A nice evening though and nothing that would stop me coming back again.

It was myself, my wife and our 1 year old eating at The Queens Arms and we had a great time! The staff were so nice to our little one and even got a toy for her to play with. The food was also brilliant.

The beef was too rare, they said medium but it was way too red for one of our party. The moretti was flat, as not served in the right glasses. An alternative was offered at no extra cost. The booth which is lovely is not adequate for 4 people. Sorry for the low score, the food was nice as was the service.

We do only serve the one cut on Sundays currently as we believe it's the best we've ever done so it helps us maintain quality and streamlines service and offering a bit. Staff were very accommodating and attentive. Food was great and good value. We were a table of 6 and enjoyed our visit. Would recommend.

DON’T BOTHER. Steak & chips was awful. Tough inedible steak & old chips. Onion rings were great but I didn’t order for the onion rings. The atmosphere with tacky plastic flowers & odd decorations was lost on us. Reminded us of the Rainforest Cafe. Menu lacked luster & was incredible boring. Just like every other Pub in Scotland I’m afraid. Not worth the 3 week ahead reservation.

Enjoyed lunch @ Queens Arm. Ordered the soup of the day, fish & chips & Mac & Cheese. The soup of the day was incredible.

I cant get enough of this place. Staff are phenomenal. Roast is consistently delicious.

We made a 1:30PM reservation on a Sunday. Seated immediately. We originally had 5 but 1 couldn’t make it, nonetheless they gave us a large area for 6. The food was great and the location to the Princes Park was just down the street so that we could walk off lunch and take touristy photos. Highly recommend and suggest you make a reservation as many were politely turned down at the door.

Sunday roast beef meat was tough and undercooked. Vegetables and Yorkshire pudding were great.

The roast was dry and the knives were blunt. The dessert was not tasty. Service ok, drinks took long time. Sharing platter is for 2 yet came in odd numbers so made it difficult considering the knife couldn’t cut a potato. We were in a rush so couldn’t rectify this in person.

Really good Sunday roast and brilliant service of food and drink. The only downside was I was told twice that the table was needed, although I’d had two email confirmations of a two hour booking, which put a dampener on the experience!
