The Prime Rib Restaurant and Wine Cellar offers a fine dining experience to patrons in Gillette, Wyoming, and surrounding areas. Established in 1983, The Prime Rib Restaurant is owned and operated by Ken Barkey. The Prime Rib Restaurant provides excellent quality dishes like steaks, seafood, and prime rib. It also features a comprehensive list of delicious desserts, such as New York cheesecake, chocolate lava cake, and raspberries with Russian cream.

As an upscale yet casual restaurant, The Prime Rib Restaurant in Gillette provides top-quality wines from all over the world. The Prime Rib is a staple of Gillette. Their food was good but not outstanding. Service was very good and noise level was loud. If you’re looking for a place to eat in Gillette this is as good as it gets.

My wife and I ordered the sirloin. I also added an order of scampi. First of all, the shrimp scampi was $13.99… for 3 regular sized shrimp! What a joke. My steak was alright, not worth the 2 extra dollars for blacked. My wife’s steak was ill-cut. There were tendons running in several directions in the steak. The effort to cut edible portions of the stake took longer than needed resulting in a rare stake gone completely cold. Our waitress was fantastic, the perfect balance of anticipating our needs and allowing for privacy. This is my 3rd time dining at the Prime Rib - all three times were a disappointment.

My wife got a steak that was pretty good, I got a burger that was pretty bad. The waitress was very friendly about and and made sure I got another, after getting it, it was also pretty bad. The staff was great the food was pretty rough considering the price.

We have ate at the Prime Rib for forty years. We can always count on the service and the food to be what we expect. I have worked with them for catering and dinners at the restaurant and at homes. We always recommend the Prime Rib for dinners and catering. You can count on Ken and Sam to have a well trained staff and good food.

We always have a delicious meal with great service at the Prime Rib! They put my kids' orders in first, who are 2 and 5. That is so thoughtful and helpful to keep them entertained. Thanks again!

Everything was perfect! We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and after checking in we were seated promptly. Our waitress was awesome and checked on us frequently despite being a very busy night,(Sat evening,plus Veteran's Day). Which by the way were offering veterans free select entrées or 50% of the regular menu. The food was amazing! We love that they have one of the best menus in town with so many options for appetizers,entrées,sides and desserts. There's something for everyone.

One of the more disappointing meals we have experienced at this normally fantastic restaurant. Reservation made for a birthday celebration. We were pushed out the door without an offer for dessert. Dirty utensils, server was short with us, food was bland. Will definitely avoid on a Saturday from now on!

We eat here when we have special occasions, in part because we know the food is good and service is very good! And if we choose to take longer and visit, we dont get unpleasant vibes because we are holding people up.

Waitress was wonderful but sat right next to the open kitchen door so that was loud and not the best for a pricey dinner. Had reservations but stilll waited about 10 min to be seated - but the wait line was out the door. Food is really good. Candy bacon is delicious. Like I said, the waitress made the experience. :)

For a change, the music level was fairly low and it was fairly easy to visit. We were at a table in the bar. The service was good and food came out rather quickly, which was also really nice. Good job as always!

The food was excellent, so many choices it was hard to choose what to eat. I ordered the Peppercorn Steak with Chutney, my frie.nd ordered the shrimp. We shared an Onion ring appetizer. They sliced a sweet onion dipped it in batter and deep fried it the plate was huge, but we managed to eat it all as well as our meals. Prime Rib is in my opinion the best restaurant in Gillette and likely the State of Wyoming. Enjoy fine dining

Food was very good. Service was poor. Waitress was poorly trained. Very inattentive. Had to wave her over several times. Had to ask twice for water, au jus, bread etc. Other tables came in after us and were finished before we were served.

Food was amazing although my prime rib was under temperature and a little dry. Great selection of delicious appetizers and drinks. Service started out great but got a little slow at the end. It could have been better but definitely a great place to eat. Even with the two flaws, I left a great tip for our server as she did take care of us in the end. Highly recommend the shrimp and corn chowder!!
