Occupant une superbe maison de ville du XIXe siècle au cœur du Vieux carré français, à La Nouvelle Orléans, au coin de Bienville Street et d'Exchange Place, le restaurant The Pelican Club propose un large éventail de fabuleux plats de la Nouvelle Orléans, trois salles à manger et un grand bar. Le propriétaire Richard Hughes et son épouse Jean Stinnett-Hughes ont transformé un joyau architectural abandonné en un restaurant accueillant, décoré avec un mélange étonnant de touches traditionnelles et contemporaines. Chaque salle bénéficie de sa propre ambiance, agrémentée d'éléments aussi divers que du cyprès bruni de Louisiane, des peintures contemporaines d'artistes de la Nouvelle Orléans et des gravures anciennes. Vous admirerez le contraste frappant des banquettes en cuir noir contre les murs en brique de couleur crème. Avec une telle atmosphère, c'est une véritable expérience de la Nouvelle Orléans qui vous attend pour votre repas.

    This one is kind of a hidden gem, being a little awkwardly placed (maybe on purpose, as the locals would want?). I’d been here before several years ago, & was a little meh on it, but it was markedly better on this trip. Food was wonderful & I like how they have a price for 3 or 4 selections. Service was a little choppy at first but not at all bad, & it got better as the dinner went on. It’s a little loud in there but book a later time & it won’t seem so bad. Definitely one we’ll visit again.

    We had a showtime to make and our server Seth made sure to keep things moving for us. We opted for the 3-course meal with bread service. Seth recommended both the oyster and scallop appetizers and they did not disappoint. Entrees were duck schnitzel and pork shank. Pork was brined and beautifully cooked to fall off the bone. Duck was surprising light, even with the breading. Finished with coconut cream pie and chocolate decadence. All desserts are made in house- pastry chef has been there 35 years!! Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!!

    The food was great however our waiter was not the best. Seemed like the minute we decided not to order an alcoholic drink his mood changed

    Our waiter Alexander was amazing. He earned 5 STARS the minute he placed our napkins on our laps. The food was the best we had in New Orleans. I had the braised pork shank and my GF had the duck schnitzel. Both were perfect. And we loved the bread pudding and baked oysters. A perfect experience. We told all our friends and we will revisit Pelican Club when we come back in a few months.

    Excellent Crab and Shrimp Ravigote, whole fried redfish, and white chocolate bread pudding. Server was perfect. Love PC!

    The server was awful. He ruined the entire experience. Will never return. He pushed the 3 or 4 course options, but required me to order my al a carte order at the same time as the course options were ordered, otherwise, he could not deliver the courses. I had not decided what I wanted for my meal!! But, he could have proceeded with the appetizer/soup……Ridiculous. Horrible customer service. Cannot say anything redeeming, other than……spend your money elsewhere.

    The Pelican Club is a unique space. It has 3 different dining areas, a great bar, and a small patio outside. Randy was our server, and he was excellent!! Had a great meal, a good variety on the menu, with daily specials and good cocktails. They even offer a set price for a 3-course meal, which is a nice bonus. We all had desserts. Would definitely recommend.
