Le Palm Court de l'emblématique Plaza Hotel a subi une rénovation complète chapeautée par le maître Architecte Thierry Despont. Le Palm Court présente des menus savoureux classiques américains du matin au soir, alors que Despont a su transporté l'esprit de Central Park à l'intérieur, créant une ambiance chaleureuse, intime et glamour. Le mobilier sur mesure offre une atmosphère détendue, et l'éclairage est bien adapté pour une réunion de déjeuner professionnel ou une soirée de cocktails conçus par le mixologue Brian Van Flandern. L'après-midi, le thé brille vraiment avec une vaisselle personnalisée de la Chine, une liste de thés avec la profondeur du monde, et bien sûr, un peu d'Eloise aussi. Le chef de pâtisserie Matthew Lambie crée des desserts uniques qui combinent sans effort les éléments classiques et modernes, tout en restant fidèle à la hauteur du Palm Court. Our server Mary was the highlight of our visit. She was absolutely wonderful and made the tea a really special experience for us. The food was stale and the overall tea service lacked imagination or originality. For the cost of the tea service, I would have expected something far more interesting and delicious.

Unfortunately we hit the Palm on a bad night. The food did not meet the standards we expect. The cost of the fuss was astronomical.

Lovely venue Sandwiches could have been a bit fresher I know from experience that even if they are made that morning the go stale quite fast

The caviar and champagne are a great option for Tea time. The staff was great, and even went out of their way to make the tea time an even better experience after I mentioned I don’t eat chocolate. I’ll definitely be back. Compared to Waldorf’s Tea time, the Plaza continues to out shine other competitors.

We were so disappointed with the food at Afternoon Tea. The sandwiches tasted bland and the bread was stale. The cakes did not feel special, everything was average. Our waiter was not friendly and was nowhere to be found almost the entire service. We were there celebrating a birthday and the waiter forgot to bring the price of cake out until after we paid the bill and were ready to leave. We expected much better quality and service at The Palm Court for the price we paid. The ambiance was beautiful, it was such a shame the food and service did not match.

Would put zero stars if I could. The tea service and tea sandwiches/dessert were terrible. The waiter did not greet or explain the tea service. Was very unfriendly. The food tasted stale like it was made the night before. I’ve had many tea experiences and this was the worst. Was not worth the money. Was disappointed considering it’s afternoon tea at “the” Plaza.

I think it's too expensive for what you get. The food is mediocre for a $120 a person pre fix menu (and that's their cheapest choice). The interior is beautiful yes, probably worth it if you're gramming for a living, but if you're looking for a genuinely authentic and delicious food experience I'd say skip this one.

I have had high tea at the Plaza for years. Simething was wrong yesterday. I received my Champaign and tea then waited another half hour for food. Two people kept coming by apologizing to everyone. When I received the bill they had added an extra charge for the type of tea I chose. A $150 tea plus tax and 20% gratuity included,I should be able to choose any tea I want without there being extra charge. My team was $205. Just really not a value anymore. .
