Very pleasant. Staff was attentive and prompt with service. My NY Strip was not as lean as I would have liked, but everything else was very nice.

We went to The Mercury to celebrate our 40th anniversary. With very high expectations due to the reputation of the restaurant, it turned out to be a very average experience. We were seated at a four top, facing the kitchen, which is not really that big of a deal. The fact that the banquette itself was lumpy and uncomfortable, turned out to be something I feel I needed to note. Also, it was quite awkward, having to flag down the hostess, so we could get our waiter, after a 13 minute period of neglect. The server who turned up, eventually, was named Tony. If he shows up at your table in the future, I’d ask for another server. He’s slow, he lacks ANY skills of engagement, and when he dropped a complementary dessert on the table, AFTER we had already ordered a dessert, he wished me a happy birthday. It was our anniversary! As for the food, we enjoyed our lump crab meat dip starter. The flavors were complex. There was a hint of heat, and overall it was a wonderful appetizer. The next appetizer we enjoyed was the 4 ounce Maine lobster tail. The meat was sweet, properly prepared, and it was a great second course. Our entrées were the Dover sole special of the night, and I ordered Steak Diane. For $75, it was offputting to have some kind of crunchy crust on the Dover soul. What happened to a table side deboning. Too old school? I must say, I have never had steak Diane where the steak had the consistency of the meat you would find in a chicken fried steak. The flavor was wonderful. The meat was an unusual surprise, not in a good way. For accompanying items, the twice baked mashers were wonderful, the creamed spinach lacked flavor. The dessert we ordered was the chocolate soufflé, again, nothing special. The complimentary lemon dessert was not great. I wish I had more great things to say about The Mercury, but I have WAY too much experience in the industry and as a diner to recommend this place…especially for a milestone event.

Excellent food quality and attentive service. It’s a great experience. The ambiance is welcoming and charming. Good selection of wines, food and service. Staff are knowledgeable and make great recommendations.

This was a business lunch and I needed the ability to charge my laptop - the server found me a spot and I greatly appreciated their flexibility and attitude.

It's been a long time since my last visit, the food was still exceptional, and the service was on point! Hickory grilled filet was amazing, and the goat cheese candied pecan salad! YUM!

We really had a wonderful experience with our server who took the utmost care in helping us to order (dietary restrictions required it). We will come again. The food was delicious too!

Flawless service combined with delicious food all made for a leisurely dinner with friends. Back in the wine room it was also quieter than the main room. What a great place to celebrate a landmark birthday.

Took my business partners out to dinner on a lovely Thursday evening and all I can say is WOW. The mercury is the perfect place for any occasion and would definitely go back in a heartbeat. The food was unbelievable. Everything from the Sushi to the entrées, sides, and desserts were world class. Service was also excellent. Overall 10/10, the Mercury is a must!

I continue to say this is one of the best in the city..Chef Ward is super talented and food is consistently excellent..Steaks great, Lamb chops really good, appetizers always excellent..Try the seared salmon sushi..off the hook..finish with coconut sorbet..Five Stars!!

Great experience for a date/birthday celebration night. Service was great as they acknowledged our birthday at the hostess station, and provided a complimentary dessert. Given the quality, value, and expense, I was surprised by the attire of some guest.

We went to The Mercury for our anniversary. What a great experience! The steak Diane and mashed potatoes were to die for! We could’ve easily split it though - it was a lot! Don’t miss the crème Brûlée for dessert. Fabulous!! We sat in the Sushi Room - which was awesome for the quiet ambiance! The rest of the restaurant would’ve been too loud for us!! Fun evening!!

It was the worst Easter Brunch ever. The place was over crowded even with reservations,. The buffet was plentiful except all the food was cold. We expected the salads to be cold, but everything was cold! Only thing delightful was the glass of wine. I will never return.

Mercury is without a doubt, the best Easter Brunch in Dallas. We’ve done a lot of them but keep coming back to Mercury. My wife always wants to try something new. Nick & Sams last year was just too packed and terrible service and twice the cost. Mercury has great staff, wide but not ridiculous food selection, great tasting food and not congested. My kids and I have, I hope, convinced my wife to stop wandering in the desert of Dallas Easter brunch and stay put at Mercury!

Maria always makes sure that we have a great meal for our family guests, business guests or personally. We love to sit in the sushi side of the restaurant and experience both of the menus and cocktails. It is a nice intimate space.

The Mercury is so consistent. The Tomato salad was excellent, the beet salad also, chicken added to the salad was moist & flavorful. The mushroom risotto my compantion said was very good and my parmesan crusted dover sole was best I've had in quite a long time. They even had the makings for my grapefruit martini (most restaurants don't have Deep Eddy grapefruit vodka). One can actually carry on a conversation at the table. What a concept! The service was pleasant and attentive.

Our waiter Tanner was a true professional and the experience was relaxing and very enjoyable. Basically French bistro fare with a hint of modern American gourmet. Excellent local restaurant peopled with patrons who have obviously been coming here for years.
