Unfortunately, my lobster was severely overcooked and given the price of the meal that was a disappointment. It also took over 8 minutes to be addressed by the wait staff after being seared which was strange given there were only about 6 other tables with patrons. It as not work the value or the experience in my opinion. P

Had brunch at this lovely restaurant. A bit overpriced however the food was pretty good. Service was great and while its a bit fancier of a brunch option it doesn’t feel stuffy

We decided to book a reservation for an early mother's day brunch. Service was slower than we would have liked with the kids but the issue I had was even though I mentioned that we were celebrating both on open table when making the reservation and to the server not much felt special. My wife remarked at the end of the meal that she had only ordered one drink simply because the server didn't check back on us after dropping off our food. I guess I expected more. Food was delicious!

It's my favorite resturant in Chicago, the grand scale room, vast spaces between tables, grown up elegance that's becoming a rarity everywhere. Food is excellent, service is attentive and professional. Nothing better anywhere!

Excellent experience as usual. Great food and beverage. Incredible service (Atichat is the best!). Love their grilled cheese and soup combo. The cocktails are always really good as well. Hope to be back soon.

My friend and I wanted to go for a beautiful breakfast. I ordered eggs Benedict for $28 and two lattes for $14. Totally reasonable prices for such a beautiful space, but the food was beyond disappointing. I regularly go for my eggs Benedict at the Park Hyatt a block away and it’s divine and worth the $30. This tasted like something you’d get at a cheap diner. The poached eggs were somewhat rubbery, the ham off the bone was too thick instead of delicate layers of thin shaved ham, but the absolute hands down worse part was the cheap tasting flavorless hollandaise like it came right out of a can. Luckily the space is gorgeous and the server was impeccable. Don’t go for the eggs Benedict - head over a block away to the Park Hyatt where your mouth will water.

We love Lobby because even when it’s busy service is great and I don’t feel I need to share my conversation with people next table. The food is good and well presented, service is excellent. I am happy to see wait staff who have been there for more than ten years. Enjoy hospitality and “quiet luxury”

We took my suntonfor her 90th birthday. It is a beautiful elegant space and even with the high ceilings it was not loud. Service and food were wonderful. She had a lovely celebration.

Haven’t been there since they discontinued the buffet format but the menus items weee very interesting and delicious. I prefer the menu format anyway. Highly recommend for Sunday brunch

Nothing special. We will not return. Was excited to enjoy the beautiful view and Lobby Restaurant, but service was sparse, and employees do not seem happy- they seemed stressed and we were not checked up on regularly, had to wait a long time- most importantly: the food was not chef quality or 5-star. Plated food Temps were not hot, and they were not cooked well. Very disappointed.

Everything on the breakfast menu is excellent, except the huevos rancheros which are too be avoided. The spa breakfast and the traditional Chinese breakfast are favorites, along with the Avocado toast.

This was our third time dining at the Lobby. Our first experience in Oct '23 was outstanding (food, service, ambiance, live music, etc) which is why we returned for a holiday dinner with another couple in early December - that was disastrous. But, we figured that perhaps they were having an "off" night, so tried it again on New Years. Although the food, like the Dec visit, was again average (warm lattes and soup - not hot), the carpet looked as if it wasn't vacuumed in days, considering all the food debris that was present and the service was sub-standard. Not at all what one would expect from the Peninsula.

Sat there for 20 mins and didn’t even get water. Food was expensive. When we asked for drink menu they threw it on the table. High prices poor service

Worst service I’ve ever experienced, took our waitress 20 minutes to greet us and another 20 to take order and brought our bill and never came back to run a card we had to bring to hostess.

The best restaurant I have ever known, the food is spectacular, the service is phenomenal, and the place is very beautiful... I want to thank all the staff for all the good service, I really enjoyed everything

Decorations were eloquent, dazzling, and elaborate. However the service was extremely slow; we only had tea after sitting for 75 minutes. The food was good but not worth the wait.

Service was poor. Restaurant understaffed. Sat for 25 minutes before anyone approached us. Cocktails were warm, bread rolls cold and food just average. Surprising and disappointing. (Decorations for the holidays were gorgeous.)

Food was mediocre compared to reviews. Management spent more time observing the waitstaff instead of helping them; genuinely felt bad for our overwhelmed waiter. Ambiance was great. Wished for a better experience!
