We love The Keg and always go when we are in Canada. All the food was delicious apart from the “roasted sprouts”. They were raw and charred. Completely inedible. I like raw sprouts chopped in a salad and I love cooked sprouts but these were neither one thing nor the other. Everything else was perfect!

We waited 45 minutes for our meal. I asked for medium steak but it was cold and rare. I never leave reviews but this was so disappointing and very pricey for the service we received. My son had the burger and fries. The fries were cold and shrivelled. Not very good.

We had a 4:00 Reservation and arrived on time. We were seated in a very nice secluded area by the window. We tend to have the same things, Hubby, prime rib and Me, pistachio crusted salmon. Both we as good as always. Service was extremely nice and pleasant. Thank you as always.

Service was good. The food imo very poor. I could not eat mine. Steak was tasteless and was like eating mush. Vegetables burned and mashed potato just a lump of tasteless stodge. Very very expensive for such poor food and standard. Will not return to Keg for a very long time. Burger at a local pub was 10x better for a third the price.

Servers need to be trained to NOT whip away plates until everyone has finished eating. And we had indicated it was a birthday but nothing special was offered. My fault, perhaps, for not mentioning it once we were seated. Otherwise food, view, presentation was all lovely.

We are looking for a new steakhouse. The last three times I’ve been to the Keg been disappointed. The quality of the food just is not there any longer.

The bar was bustling, and a poor staff member dropped a tray of glasses, a member in our party got a small cut on her hand somehow… The staff were very accommodating, they moved us to a different table, treated us to a round of drinks. Accidents do happen and we were not upset, and the staff was very gracious.

Haven’t been to a Keg in years and will not go back. The food was very overpriced and not that great. Not sure why a salad appetizer would come out with the meal. The food was not hot when it came out. The Shepard pie was a disgrace for 24, it was a very small portion.

I ask for no bacon wrap on the filet mignon and it seemed as if they just removed it after the food was already plated. Food was cold and steak was barely cooked. Ordered medium rare the steak was maybe seared for 30 seconds on 2 sides the rest was completely raw meat all around. While we waited for our food it was terribly slow service, they brought us food and walked away before we could even say that it was not even ours then another server came and took it from us a moment later. Then while they were taking it the other server spilled a whole tray of drinks and iced tea got all over me and my friend. We both ordered mushroom Neptune and kept biting big chunks of crab shells. We eat that exact dish at many kegs across Canada and have never had such a crunchy and poorly made appetizer aswell as the overall meal was very disappointing and quite gross. We both love the keg and personally won’t be going to this location again and will definitely be staying away from the keg for a while. This experience has turned us off from going there for the time being. After this terrible experience the staff was so nice to offer a free dessert from our 150$ meal that we barely ate due to the kitchens lack of skill and care for quality food. We both denied the dessert as we were already grossed out. The staffs lack of courtesy in understanding this lead to them comping a whole 18$ off the meal. Thanks for the free crunchy mushroom Neptune. Will not return

I was disappointed with my prime rib order. I ordered it medium rare, and received an end cut which had parts being medium rare. The back side was more like medium well, and with the back side being the end it was very salty. The server was Jillian she was so good that I didn’t want to complain about the food. I’ll dine at the downtown keg again, but will request that not to have an end cut. Unfortunately it was my birthday dinner celebration.

Great steak, awesome service from the young lady at the front door greeting to our waiter brining the check when we finished, one of the best dining experiences we have had in years!!! The steak, calamari & shrimp were all excellent! If you are looking for a quiet, wonderful dinner with exceptional service...Keg in Victoria is THE place to go!!!

My partner and I had a lovely experience at the Keg downtown Victoria last night, at first we were seated in the lounge area, which was fine there was a hockey game on, but we wanted a more romantic setting so we asked to move to the dining room, they accommodated us no problem. Once were were seated and happy all the food was delicious, only issue was they swapped our cook of meat, I ordered medium rare and received rare, my husband ordered rare and got medium rare. We mentioned it to the server and the manager came over and made the situation better instantly. We are so grateful as we haven’t been out together in over a year so our night was made special and we left very happy. Will 100% be back.

Always great food at The Keg . They are always very accommodating and allow me to order that shrimp dinner that is no longer on the menu . Unfortunately my meal came very cold and they had to send it back and remake it leaving my dining guests to finish their entire meal before me . They did take 40% off my meal which tasted amazing as usual . I ordered Cypress Zinfandel(40$) bottle of wine and they brought Caymus Zinfandel to the table , which would have been great if I only had to pay $40 for it 🤣 but I could not bring myself to let the waitress open it!!!! Would have been a costly mistake in their part . With these two errors I honestly think I should have had my whole dinner covered . However this will not stop me from going to The Keg again , always a favourite.

Not my favorite. My baked potato and broccoli were over cooked and dried out. Steak was just ok. A lot of fat. Lobster was good. Not the experience I had hoped for. Thought it was just ok and was really disappointed. The server was awesome!!

Staff were difficult with empty tables near the window but tried putting us in the inside traffic area. We not overly receptive to us moving and we almost walked out. Food was not very tasty

Celebrated our 44th anniversary and booked a reservation asking for a romantic table. We had a window table with a view of the ocean. Our server was very attentive. I had the lobster which was outstanding!

Food and ambiance were as expected from this place, very good all around. The server we had was great, personality, humor, knew his stuff, and very well informed overall. The timing of all items was fantastic from start to finish, which is great considering it was quite busy when we arrived. Far better than the average!
